Vent! I am so pissed off with the NPG Music Club and Ticket Sales!!!!!!! I just went on the club, expecting to purchase pre-sale tix for D.C. show. I tried twice and my computer got stuck. Net thing I knew, the tix sold out. I don't know if my purchase went through or not. I am so fucking pissed off I don't know what to do! Just totally numb!!!

Sorry to hear that! I just purchased mine for the Detroit show. I didn't have any problems.
To see if you have tickets. Check under your account information. That's where the confirmations go. BTW, I just checked and the DC sale is still going [This message was edited Fri Mar 26 7:20:08 2004 by SexyBeautifulOne]

Maybe its a problem with your computer, if so, your anger is misdirected, but your frustration understandable.

NPGMC calls themselves making more members seats available by aselling side seats. Side seats arent as good as floor seats in any arena. Thus, they are always priced lower. NPGMC sells them at the same price. I would rather have smaller member section of quality seats and limit it to 1 ticket per member. You know the dilemna becomes the fact that non members get seats through a member that buys 2 sets while the member that posted this is left out in the cold.

You should give them credit for making more seats available. Also, the seats are limited. Not everyone is going to get one of the best seats. And this one ticket idea won't help. I needed 3 tickets. But you're limited to 2. Maybe you guys should just be thankful that you're in the house and get to see the show.

So does Ticketmaster. The side seats are the lower seats on the stand with probably better visibility then much of the floor tickets, because you can oversee the whole stage.

wellll.... i'm an NPGMC member but i got mine through ticketmaster.* it's fast and you can print your tickets out right then and there. love that
i know i'm not right down in front but really, that's fine with me *nothing against the NPGMC. love the changes they've made to the club! [This message was edited Sat Mar 27 7:17:54 2004 by XxAxX]

But Ticketmaster lets you see where your seat will be and them you can make a decision. NPGMC is supposed to get us beter seats. Side seats could mean anything. Lets see you overview of the stage if youre in the middle or rear of one of those side sections.

Why should we have to be greateful for side seats? I guess that is easy to say to others when you have your seats though. They cant tell you where your seat is but they can tell you that youre in the side deats - ridiculous. One ticket will help if you stop and think. Each member would have a better chance to get a NPGMC seat. Many, if not most, of the members that buy two seats are getting the second seat for a non member. There would be more memberships if each premium seat required it. [This message was edited Sat Mar 27 8:34:19 2004 by newwave] [This message was edited Sat Mar 27 8:39:07 2004 by newwave]

I don't understand how reducing the limit to one ticket will *help.* The only thing it will do is fatten the bank account of the NPGMC as more people will join to get member seats. As many people have pointed out, $25 can be cheaper than the Ticketmaster fees...especially if you plan to attend multiple shows. The message you're about to hear is not meant for transmission

You paid to be a member and then you paid that same amount again just in processing charges alone by buying them through Ticketmaster...and they're guaranteed worse seats than what you would get with the club? I'm confused. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Good news, afterall!
Despite my disdain for the club right now, I was able to stand in line this morning and purchase a ticket for a really good seat. I paid a lot more than I wanted to, but it's a good seat and I can't complain, since D.C. sold out the first show, then he had to add another one and that's almost completely sold out. The bummer is that the club decided to set aside some tix for members for the second show. However, I'm glad that I went ahead and purchased the tix anyway because I didn't want to take that chance again and be stuck with no ticket. I can't complain: I'm going to see the simulcast in Phila. on Monday (I have to drive because MD and VA venues were sold out). I got a good tix for this concert when I thought I would have to settle for a shitty one. Overall: I gotta give the man his props! He responds very quickly to fans. And the fact that we'll get the album for free. Well, you can't beat that with a bat! It's a very good time to be a Prince fan!

Oh, and by the way: things worked out for the best anyway. Everyone was pissed this morning because all the good seats went fast and they needed 2 or more tickets. Because I only needed one tix for myself, I got a seat on the side, but a GOOD seat! I saw my arrangement and I'm sitting up so that I can see the stage, not trying to jump up and down over someone's head to see. Overall, I'm happy with the seat. It could've been worse.
Things worked out anyway and there's a smile on my face...
