Find the bedrooms and put things down other members' beds.

It'll pass the time whilst you're waiting for pre-sale tickets for Prince's performance at the McAlpine stadium.

Well the firstthing you can do is tell me if you actually find anything to do or see in there!!!

The second is to keep you opinions to yourself - the rule in there is that members shoudl be seen but not heard.

Tell me where the toilets are. I always get caught short whenever I'm there and I can never find them. I have to use those clay pots that are left in the corners, although I don't think they're getting cleaned out because they've been giving off this purple mist of late.

Someone posted a message on there not too long ago about how they just joined, and were very dissapointed at the lack of content.

Then, 100 rabid fams flooded the post with "sorry, it's your fault you joined too late, Hail Prince!" responses. Nevermind that the NPGMC doesn't bother to mention this to people up front, it's only after you join that you find this out.

And this person had some truly legitimate concerns about the club. It's doesn't provide the same content and benefits equally to all its members. And these problems have been ongoing for 3 years with no resolve.

Well, first off, you need a good internet connection to move quickly between rooms.

The musicology room, with the mixing table, is fun for ten minutes.

The video room was okay when you could see previews of the Alladin video and others. But they should rotate new videos in there more often.

The Vaults are fine if you are a novice fan and want to see Prince's discography - but why you would be joining if you're only a novice fan, I don't know.

The site has occasionally had new songs, and a preview of NEWS before it came out - more new songs would be good, the only songs that change are in the reflection room but they are a low sound quality and it is only very occasionally that anything half-rare comes up.

The there's access to the merchandise, which seems to me very unfocused, being made up mostly of badly designed clothing and not enough music - but occasionally something someone might want.

The main thing to join the club for is the hope that new material will appear there first and that you will get it without waiting to find it elsewhere on the net, and the priority seating tickets when he's at a town near you.

The worst thing about the club has to be the lack of information, you certainly don't find things out there first, if ever. For a club that is supposed to be a direct communication to the fans, that is pretty poor. And nothing new happens at the club for months on end, so nothing to inspire you to revisit once you've checked out the rooms.

I haven't been able to join in the past 'cos of an old, crappy PC. Now I've got a new one and I'd only join for any downloads. There's no gaurantee he'll tour the UK and I may not be able to afford it anyway. So how many tracks are still available at NPGMC to download and what tracks are they?

Just at the moment, there's nothing to download. The only music currently is to be found in the reflection room, and that's the 3 tracks from Prince's back catalogue that rotate every week or so. And you can't actually download from the site, you can listen and then retrieve the files from your temp internet folder.

So if I was you, I'd wait and see if he tours the UK and if you can afford and want premium seats, join nearer the time.
