Reason given by the NPGMC 4 the no-soundchecks! and a little message from NPGMC -
eye understand ur dissappointment, and that u had hoped that soundcheck access would continue 4 all tours. But this is a new year, new tour, new songs, new size audience, and new stage production. It couldn't b the same as One Nite Alone. That tour was very special and was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. And so the soundchecks were part of that. Regardless, the music will be AMAZING. And that is what matters most. And if u buy a ticket in the presale, u will be in the sections closest 2 the action. Injoy the show. >>>U understand what i mean  .....The truth is coming!!! | |

thank the lord the preshow thing was nixed...i hated standing in line for hours and then having to stay in my seat cause some fam would swoop it up..
and dont start me on standing in hours with fams...ive meet some wonderful people in lines..but there is always that nutcase who freaks everyone out... Space for sale... | |

Wow, no soundchecks...then I'm definitely not going to this in the round thing...it will suck compared to ONA and previous tours with a normal stage setup | |

The first time I ever saw Prince was Lovesexy - which was in the round - and I believe I've been to every US tour since. The two best Prince concerts I've been to were Lovesexy and ONA. |

Anybody feel like offering up an overall vibe for a concert in this type of format? I've never seen a show set up that way, and I'm wondering what the major differences might be. Thanks! | |

Hmmm... not sure if I'll join now even if a concert in my area is announced. I'll probably be able to find good single seats after member presale anyway. The ONA concert was the only Prince show I've been to, and I wasn't a member of the NPGMC at the time, and didn't even KNOW about the soundchecks. Seems I've missed out.  |
