Since the bible says the ruler of the world is Satan and even Satan himself told Jesus that he has the power over the kingdoms of the world, why would you vote for any indiviual who would be invisibly influenced by such power? The bible states:

Ephesians 6:12 We have a wrestling, not against blood and flesh, but against the governments, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the wicked spirit forces in the heavenly places.

yes, and at that time, the governments were not monotheistic. that verse does not support your claims that we need to refrain from politics. if anything, it says just the reverse. it states that we are in a battle of good and evil. in order to win the battle, one must fight the battle. getting anti-christs out of governing offices is a start. but in order to get them out, we must put christians in. if christians don't vote how will this happen? once again, show me something in scripture that clearly states...without having to add, assume or switch words around...that we should not partake in a poltical system.

All it takes is a little thought and you have your answers to your own questions. Listen, I am not here to try to convince you. I can try to explain, but if your mind is already made up to believe your theory then good for you. Pray to God to show you the answer or to give you a better understanding then me. The bible has foretold of the destruction of the governments of the world by the "kingdom of God". I don't twist the scriptures at all. Read the prophecy of Daniel and it will tell you of the world powers from Egypt down until our time. It will state that the kingdom of God will "crush" the kingdoms of the world. So now, which kingdom of the world do you want to advocate or vote for prior to it's being crushed or destroyed by God?

i absolutely agree that it only takes a little thought. the kingdoms of the world will be crushed, i know. but how? what is the description in daniel? this is important. and, just to clarify once more, if i am trying to vote for the christian politician...the one who supports christian ideals...then i AM advocating God's kingdom. i think you're missing that HUGE point. the bible doesn't tell us to refrain from government. your interpretation of what is written may suggest that but you can't get to that conclusion unless someone tells you that that is what it means. if you simply read the words (without reliance on someone else's interpretation) than you can understand that there is no mention of refraining from poltical activity.

it was nice discussing with you but i can not continue to repeat myself. i'm glad we had the chance to discuss this.

Sassy, what are you saying? Who is telling me what to type you? Be respectful of the conversation if you could. I keep telling you that Christians are physically, and mentally voting for Christ Jesus as king. We do this by our conduct and actions by keeping his commandments. We do this by advocating the good news of the "kingdom or government of god" by door to door preaching/teaching. We follow the rules and regulations by refraining from "mixing" with other political party's with opposite agenda or rules such as secular policy or politics. Many political activist and runners-up for office have to please people who could care less about Jesus, thinking he is some mere fairy tale. What about the seperation of Church and State? Do you think todays society will embrace someone advocating goodness? No way in the world! lol

People love the independance of sin. Hate to say it but it is true. People want to live immoral and loose and not by bible principles. What would the campaign be like if someone got up there stating, "I advocate no more pre-marital sex, drunkeness, abusive speech, abortion, killing, stealing, equality amongst all races...etc"? You think they will be elected? Absoloutely not! It says that the majority of todays people are wicked. We are in fact voting or electing Jesus as our king. When you make your comment on us voting or following human rule I tell you that we are respectful to government due to Jehovah wanting us to do this. Jesus says "pay Ceasar things to Ceasar but God's things to God". The seperating work of sheeps and goats is an invisible decision Jesus is making prior to the conclusion of the system of things to see who are actively seeking "his" rule. Yes, again, Christians are political. Spiritually political, if I can say that.

Ephesians 1:18;

the eyes of your heart having been enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he called you, what the glorious riches are which he holds as a inheritance for the holy ones, and what the surpassing greatnes s of his power is toward us believers. It is according to the operation of the mightiness of his strength, with which he has operated in the case of the Christ when he raised him up from the dead and seated him a his right hand in the heavenly places, far above every government and authority and power and lorship and every name named, not only in this system of things, but also in that to come. He also subjected all things under his feet and made him head over all things to the congregation, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills up all things in all.

On another note, Satan himself is not going to have an advocater of righteousness rule his world! Do you really think he will allow someone in office who will speak about the coming kingdom of his advesary Jesus? There was an invisible war in heaven as it states in Revelation that he lost due to trying to overthrow Jehovah's authority. He and his followers were cast down to the Earth. It says that Satan is angry knowing he has a short time. A whole lot more where this comes from. When J.W.'s knock at peoples door we are trying to give them the "good news of Christ's kingdom". Daniel 2:44, 7:27: the lords prayer. Matt 6:10,33; Matt 24:14,34. Many, many, more scriptures and instances are given. To bring the discussion back around to the thread is just as Xxaxx has stated that it probably is not for this "particular" forum. But in relation to the thread itself, the very things that we are discussing is what we discuss in a "BIBLE STUDY". Certainly if people want to "learn" about the bible or topics "deeper than this" we would delve into the scriptures since we are not to go "beyond what is written". Also 2 Tim 3:16 says all scripture is inspired of God.. (not men) and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight... What politician will use the rule within the bible to set matters straight here on this earth and again who would vote for him?

The main reason why Jesus is to be king is due to him already being tested even to the point of death. He was in fact the "only" perfect angelic creature created that has died. He knows what it is like to be human since God had made him fleshly. But he does not know how it is to be imperfect! That is why Jehovah has chosen humans from Earth to rule with him in his government. That is the only reason for certain people going to Heaven. If you can see the brilliance in Jehovah's forethought you can definately notice that he care's for all humans and our enslaveness to sin. To have perfect creature's such as angels ruling over us when they don't know how it is to be "human" and "imperfect" would not be wise. How could they "understand" when we slip or mess up due to sin? They have no bondage to sin to relate to while judging us.
