That NPGMC members only get the privalege to buy Prince music for their membership money. Have members recieved any real member privaleges like they have in previous years??

The availability of 'free music' as a 'privilege' has come in different forms in previous years at a membership cost of $100. In those years, some people bemoaned the high membership cost, some didn't like music in download format, and some were dissatisfied with what they received when CDs were posted.

The 'free music' this year has been in streaming format, and has largely been material which has previously been released (although some of it is relatively difficult to get hold of in CD format today). membership has been at the reduced rate of $25.

As with the previous year, members were entitled to apply for premium (i.e. front) concert tickets which often included entrance to a soundcheck and after show or party.

Each member will have an individual perception as to whether they feel the membership cost for any year provided value for money, and no doubt decide to renew based on their experience.

Taking into account that this year concerts have only been given in Hong Kong and Australia and that tickets for the Australian meet and greeD (including soundcheck and aftershow) were 'only' one thousand Australian dollars.
So, one shouldn't expect that next year - with talk about a world tour- the club would again 'only' charge $25 for 'premium' tickets.

You get to pay upfront to have the "Chance" to "pay top dollar" for outdated music.

Or

Invest the time to load the saturated stuff and then decide if its worth listening to or not.

Thats what I was thinking. I was a member in year one & it was pretty damn cool as I got a lot of great mp3s but with only the ability to stream music now, your not getting anything physical for your money. The only reason I would join is to get the CDs hes selling. I love Prince but Im not paying for that privalege, only for music.

why all the bullshit? when he records an album, announce it on his site, and post a link to where they can buy it. plain and simple. No memberships, no BS
