After I posted this thread in the U Tell Us forum this morning, my membership in the forum part of the site was once again yanked...without any kind of communication from the moderators. Any ideas on what pissed them off? I'm interested in everyone's opinions on whether or not, based on this post, it was reasonable for the moderators to unceremoniously yank my paid membership (again).

They delete A LOT over there. I've had a bunch of threads deleted and never once receieved a private message telling me what I did wrong. Why not PM all posts to the moderators before you post them on the board asking for approval first.

I know this defeats the purpose of a message board, but I think if enough people do it, they will get the hint.

theblueangel, PLEASE go to www.mnd.bbb.org and file a complaint. i did this and they now have a negative standing. the ony way things will change with that place is if people stop joining (which we know will never happen) or if they start getting in trouble with fraudulant business practices.

regardless of what you've said or done, as a paying customer you have every right to get a reason for their actions. they have every legal right to ban us but they also have legal requirements to provide us with written explanations.

Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to unanswered complaints.

The New Power Generation is a shopping club that offers the recordings of Prince and Prince-related merchandise. For a yearly membership fee, customers are offered a number of exclusive musical and purchasing opportunities. From June, 2001 to January, 2003 NPG had an unsatisfactory rating with the Better Business Bureau due to an unanswered complaint. In January, 2003, NPG responded to this complaint.

In late 2002, a number of members complained that NPG was failing to honor its commitment to ship 4 Prince CD's during the calendar year. Some complainants alleged that the 4 CD's which were to be mailed were not the same as the CD's advertised to members and prospective members at the start of the year. At the time of these complaints, customers had received only one of the promised CD's.

The New Power Generation responded to these complaints by denying any allegations of false, misleading or deceiving practices relevant to NPG advertising, memberships or offerings. A 3-CD set which was mailed in late 2002, along with a special link through which members could download exclusive music, resolved all complaints of this nature.

Other complaints have involved customer service issues and difficulties some overseas customers experienced in downloading music from the NPG website. NPG states this has to do with spotty internet connections, and they remain committed to assisting members in every possible way to resolve such issues.

2the9s is exactly the same personality there as he is here. NuPwrSoul is too. EllisDee obviously doesn't use the same colourful language as he does here but his personality remains intact as far as I can tell . I hope mine does too. I certainly don't feel as if I change overcoats depending on which site I log in to.
