NPGMC member requests $1,000 tickets - thanks!!

Here's what one fam has to say about the impending (perhaps, maybe, sorta) tour:

"PRINCE I HAVE UR 1,000.00 WHEN U HIT THE U.S. TOUR!!!"

followed by another member (and by member, i mean penis):

"oh yeah?

well, i'm wiling 2 pay $1,000.01

How u like DEM apples?
"

Sigh.

I have the $1000.00 but not for a fucking concert ticket. That is totally insane (unless of course a BJ by Mayte is included). However I do have $30.00 to buy the bootleg CD of the show, and another $30.00 to buy the DVD-R of the show. I saved myself $940.00.

Why don't they just mail him the $1000.00 as a friendly donation and call it a day?

yeah, but it's kinda sad to turn it into a contest
btw, if I was paying this kind of cash for a ticket and indeed that money was going to charity, i'd like to know exactly what kind of charity i would be supporting through my more than generous donation

Yeah, but if Prince was charging ya $1000 a tix you know the money is going to "the dream" to build the L4OA Hospital.

If there are going to be $1000 tickets and all that, cool. We all have choices about what to do with our disposable income. Folks who pay less money sit in the back; folks who pay more sit in the front. If those who pay a lot more get a meet-n-greet and some other perks, I ain't mad at 'em. I've been lucky enough to be second row and even on stage -- at regular prices. Hell, my mug is even immortalized on the Aladdin DVD disc.

The idea of the premium (over regular price) going to charity is great. What would be even better is NPGMC giving the ticket purchaser the opportunity to designate the particular charity (from a list provided by NPGMC) and to enjoy the tax deduction him/herself. Personally, if I'm donating money "to charity," I want to approve the charity.

I think the person outbidding them had their tongue in their own cheek & not in Princes' ass.

If someone thinks paying $1000.00 for a concert ticket that would normally go for about $150.00 is completely retarded, that doesn't mean they are earning minimum wage.

Most people with disposable incomes also have a decent education, and a little common sense.
