Hi all, just a quick message to the loyal fanbase.

I have been a member of NPGMC since the start. I haven't been especially happy with the way things have gone, but it has been interesting along the way.

I think i've been to the NPGMC site about 3 times since it started, but if I wanted to play a bland badly-rendered 3d adventure I'd buy Myst.

Lately there was talk of a song put up on NPGMC, A SONG ! The actual reason I was interested in the first place ! MUSIC.

I tried to log in, but since my PC crashed and wiped, I have lost all my login details. No problem you might think. I emailed NPGMC to ask for my details, and sat back. That was a month ago. Since then I have emailed a further 5 times. No response. No acknowledgement of receipt of email, no effort to help me out. Nothing.

I wont be joining again.

It seems to me that they don't know what the hell they are doing over there and that's part of the reason I have never joined and never will. If it was run more efficiently and with a lot less religious babble, I would gladly join, but there were problems right from the beginning and so many people have been very frustrated. Having the music club is a good idea, but it has to be run by people that actually know what they are doing.

this is the NPG country club, if you join you get to logon to all the pretty pages. Whatever music they give you they give you. The club in no way works like a 'team'. When you see other, you see community, teams. I'm just saying you get what you get with the music club. I'm so over the music club, I'm out, unless they do cleanup I do not see myself joining. Everyone should say funkit and not join net year, hurtem in the wallet.

That's the same thing that happened to me at siobhanfahey.com . After several emails (at first they answered saying they'd contact me), 3 MONTHS later I decided to report the site .

I emailed the company that charged me the annual fee to see if they had proof I had paid and they told me they had all my data, so they gave them to me and I was able to enter the site again.

So the person in charge couldn't solve it in 100 days and I did it in half a day

Other than the extremely occasional perk and rare exclusive merchandise, the less you have to do with the club the better off you are. I'll join next year, but solely for the music. I find the NPGMC "online community" toxic and weird.

- PULSATRONIC - a brand new song from Siobhan which is to feature on the forthcoming album

- COSMIC DANCER - an acoustic version by Siobhan of this T-Rex song

- COLD - early version of a song recently mixed by Richard Fearless

- WHAT'S IT LIKE TO BE SO WONDERFUL - The mastered version recorded in 1996 for the third Shakespears Sister album

- THE OLDER SISTER - a demo of a track written and recorded with Sophie Muller in 1994

- GIVE US BACK OUR CHEAP FARES - The Bananarama song.

No-one I know has heard anything new from Prince since Emancipation, even the promotion he did for Rave seemed to go unnoticed ! Even though I thought "Greatest Romance" was a killer song, with a restrained and elegant video, I cannot name you a single person I know who ever heard the damn song.

But they can all sing the Cheeky Girls song. Something bad is happening to the world.

Thats just another one of their clever tricks - not responding to emails so you have to use U TEll Us...but they dont respond to that either - Great Eh???!!!

NPGMC is fine for access to exclusive/first-crack tickets and merchandise - it is what it is - it's the culture of the bulletin boards I have no use for. That whole scene creeps me out.

trip. I sat and waited for all of the messages to
come up and then finally the sign up screen. I tried
to jump the gate, but the guards drank too much coffee.
I don't know, maybe I'll join this coming New Year.

Ur better sending any thing to NPGMC via Snail Mail.

As for the Security reason for not sending the account contact's Email address their UserID & Pass, seems strange. All other secure Websites do this. Maybe the snails can't pass electronically through the modem connection. Must be something to do with the shells, try slug mail, but I thing the post will be slightly damp.
