What is anyone missing when its 256kbps.. Honestly? Maybe a small (I mean small) % of the bass is a reduction.. but that is near cd quality.. especially when their ripped with a good "ripper"... 
I can understand when its 128, or 192 for that matter.. but when it was given in 256.. The loss is not noticable.. | |

I can understand when its 128, or 192 for that matter.. but when it was given in 256.. The loss is not noticable.. Doesn't matter, The bit rate can be high as hell but heck the quality can suck sometimes. Remember back to Y1? Some of them mp3s sounded great others like crap- sonically speaking. | |
