NPGMC Diatribes Is it a common held opinion that Prince writes these?
What I mean are the long essays/articles in the Knowledge Room (some of which were on the old NPGOnlineLtd site. I mean, there's no information on who authored them, but I always presumed it was Prince. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What I mean are the long essays/articles in the Knowledge Room (some of which were on the old NPGOnlineLtd site. I mean, there's no information on who authored them, but I always presumed it was Prince. This was answered recently in the U Tell Us forum. PaisleyPark9 said they are written 'by the collective' and that no other explanation is necessary. My understanding is that the majority of them were written years ago by Pierre Igot who ran a part of one of the older versions of the web site. Has anyone else been around long enough to remember those commentaries by Pierre? Prince has little to do with that site. Does anybody know anything further about this Per Igot?
I think that would make a much more interesting avenue of discussion in relation 2 this..?

Wasn't his name Pierre Igot? No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

Yah. Sounds like someone confused ol' Pierre with Per Nilssen (whose last name I probably misspelled horribly, so I'm likely no better).

I remember Igot... he was some wise dude.
I wonder if anybodies saved the old htmls of the older love4oneanother site... love to check that out for a trip down memory lane. Pierre Igot was the owner of the unofficial "Le Grind" Prince news site. So I doubt it's him.

Pierre Igot - Haven't heard that name in a LONG time, is he still around? (You lurking dude?! Le Grind was swallowed by 'the collective' (how creepy was all that nonsense) - so it's a possibility. The pieces are often interesting and agreeable, but also highly dogmatic and assume a lot without giving any proof or evidence to back up an opinion. Which is why I thought it might be Prince who authored them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Which is why I thought it might be Prince who authored them. I went to Le Grind every day for news, makin' my rounds. Dunno what happened to Pierre...he was a nice guy. He may yet be webmastering for NPG... Didn't Samnation of the Chicago Nation also do some work for NPG? Is he still?Fear is the mind-killer.

Samnation is (ahem) quite involved with the NPGMC, actually. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

That's the one - Pierre! I think you can still find archived copies of his old ramblings somewhere. I'll do some research...

Samnation is quite involved in a LOT of things.
Like the boys said...*ahem*. MEANwhile: ...I remember there was some kind of friction involving Pierre back in the L4OA daze...I don't remember the specifics at all, but I seem to remember some kind of split or static at the time...

Can anyone translate this? It's in Italian I think.

Thanks, 'mance. I don't know how I could have missed that since I use it all the time! This at least proves that Igot did work for them at one time. It seems that Prince, for mouth of a its representative, has made hour the same offer to the responsibles of Uptown: to stop the banns of the fanzine in order to participate to an official publishing plan. And therefore Alex lawyer Hahn, that he defends the review, has attacked The Artist accusing it of wanting to eliminate Uptown in order to leave free field the future magazine of its property. Identified the author of the proposal in Pierre Igot, a member of staff of Love 4 One Another, the these he has cleared that he be a matter himself of a simple auspice and that not is some publishing plan in sight: "I have simply said that us it would have been always the possibility to work entirety for a magazine and that, if they had decided to join to the collective of 4 Love One Another, their experience in the field would have been much profit". Igot however has confirmed that the condition in order to work for Prince is that one to interrupt the activities collaterals

Yeah, what was the deal with that? Pierre wouldn't go over to The Dark Side (aka The Collective) or something like that? What a fabulous name: Pierre Igot. It's better than Max Powers, even! Motherfuck the wedding, come join the band. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.

I've exchanged emails 3 years ago because I've asked about him in a french mailing list - he wasn't interested in discussion but to blame the internet for all the critics toward his boss

Yeah, what was the deal with that? Pierre wouldn't go over to The Dark Side (aka The Collective) or something like that? [quote] It was the opposite. Pierre chaired the L4OA team which comprised of Ben & Kev from p.orf, Z from NPNY, Uptown, Gav from Interactive, and a few others. One by one they all dropped off the team becuase of the absolute crap that was coming up in the team chats (loadsa religious content that are copied around here somewhere - someone may still have them) and then lawsuits started flying around. Basically, anyone that refused to be in "The Collective" got threatend with a lawsuit and Pierre sent an email to Uptown which proved this basically threatening "become official or we'll sue you". This then served the basis for the Uptown counter-lawsuit. Basically the whole episode made Pierre look a complete twat and he was never heard from again.

you're saying he blamed the internet for all the criticism of Prince? I can see that...negativity begets negativity...you can definitely see that on the org and other places.
