It's a music festival after all... don't matter what it is, the price of the thing's ridiculous. for a single concert, it is insanely overpriced! Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

I can see it now, one of the reasons I know their going to use to justify these inflated/bull shite prices is the low cost to join the club. Get ready to be gauged!

Does Prince & the Club have full control over the Australia concert or is it a similar set up to the Hong Kong festival? 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

actually... it's only mildly overpriced. the exchange rate is .68 to the dollar. also, the membership was less this year...
all in all, it is still a little high, but not what most people think. my estimate is that for about the equivalent of last year, the aussies are paying about 225.00 a ticket for the middle catagory. plus they get guaranties that we didn't get, and the box set... i'm NOT saying it's a great deal... but i AM saying that it is NOT as outrageous as some are saying. not nearly...

Next time Prince comes to town, make sure you pay your
sugar daddy a visit first. Do a little physical limbo in his bed and make sure you can get yourself some on-stage tickets. Or just eat a lot and be fat enough to be invited onto the stage for the dance contest and have P scrutinise your weight in front of 10.000 onlookers. Agreed. It IS terribly overpriced. Most artists who charge that much money at least can say they spend a lot on the staging, the costumes, whatever. Prince doesn't even give out tambourines anymore - you have to pass them back, so they can put them in the ratty cardboard box for the next show. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
