my letter 2 NPGMC about pricing! i understand the npgmc is offering some truly exclusive experiences in australia but i have to say my heart sank when i saw the prices.
if the tour comes to europe please lower the prices... please. many fams i know (including me) could never afford those costs and yet have supported the club and prince for many years. so what will happen is only the wealthy will be able to get to see the soundchecks let alone the meet and greet. us ordinary folk who were made to feel so special during the ONA tour will go back to being in the cheaper seats while celebrities and traditional 'VIPs' will join and snap up the good seats and experiences. it'll be back to how it was in the 1980s and 1990s. the people who support prince (and now the club) will not get to see the man up close. i feel very sorry 4 the australians... waiting all this time and now having to pay really expensive prices. the onstage meet and greet is new... and therefore can be excused for being more pricey but option 2 and the diamond option should be merged in2 1 at a lower price. please help us support Prince and the NPG! ----------
AND I GOTTA ALOTTA BUTTA 2 GO!

You should post this at the NPG.
Maybe the tickets are more in Austrailia because it cost a lot to transport all the band members and staff to Austrailia. Just a thought. Also maybe they had to cut down on the number attending the soundchecks because there is a lot more members now that it only cost 25 dollars to join where last year it was a 100 dollars. Iam not saying the prices are right, but that's the way it has been since the beginning of time. The people with money have always gotten the best of the best. But if meeting Prince and sitting on the stage means that much to a person that they would pay that much money, well they made that choice to spend that much. Maybe Prince is justified in charging for the soundchecks because the fans that go to the soundchecks get to see him and hear him play for a longer period of time.

These are the moments when I really hate it being a Prince fan. Nowadays, many things he said in the past turn into the opposite direction. He always used to have a positive and liberal view of things (concerning sexuality, religion, music, money don't matter ...)
Nowadays his music is expensive. Nowadays he runs a club which bans members if they have the wrong opinion. Nowadays he preaches dogmatic religious views 99,9% of his fans cannot agree to. Nowadays he divides his remaining fan community into members / non members, into willing "I will pay anything" premium fans and second class fans. etc. etc. etc. He has always been weird and we accepted it and even loved the secrets around him. That's all o.k. to me But the only thing that makes me REALLY mad nowadays is that he tries to milk his true followers as much as possible, releasing 50$ CD sets, or selling unbelieveable expensive concert tickets. In particularly I cannot accept if there's no real value in what we are supposed to buy (low quality DVD, stupid senseless web-site). Sorry Prince. I love you, but I have to work hard for my money and there's simply a limit which is definately below your demands.

There's probabbly a cesspool of praise and happiness over at the NPGMC forums right now about how they're such a great value.
Those dingleberrys over there have no spines...

Personally, id advise any of you thinking about hooking up with the VIP packages to think twice, as it aint gonna be all that.
Think about it: gig aside, the whole 'onstage meet n greet eXperience' will last 5min tops, and he'll be outta there - headed 2 the bank more than likely. You will be paying the best part of $1,000 to shake someones hand. You will more than likely be briefed as to what you can't do as apposed to what you can. The whole thing will come with strings attached. If you go for it, then enjoy - but you must have more money than sense. I just really hope there aint gonna be a plethora of threads about feeling 'cheated' post-gig, u guys have all waited so long 4 this - but I really think u are being ripped off, and that sucks.

Bottom Line: Is meeting Prince worth over $600?
My Anwer: Not a chance. If you're that desperate to meet him, which I'm sure some of you are, there are cheaper ways to do so. Try stalking him at the airport or something and save yourself the cash.
