thieves video copy protected?

Downloaded the new videos from NPGMC - decided to burn a DVD with them so I can watch them on the big screen. I drag the thieves video (quicktime) to iDVD and get an error message saying the video is copy protected.

Argh - even when Prince gets it right and gives us the whole extended video, he finds a way to screw it up.

If you convert it into another format like MPEG or AVI, it will probabbly knock out the copy protection.

I was able to open those video clips up just fine in Adobe Premiere and Windows Movie Maker.

This is why you go hardware.

Eff iDVD, just use a simple and straight to the point DVD recorder deck.

Technology sometimes wastes your time, sometimes in some cases is all the time.

you just play them - once they are fully loaded, they should be in your temporary internet files folder. At least on Windows, I couldn't find them on the Mac with either Safari or Internet Explorer. I just searched for the extension .mov after playing them - they may have had a different extension.

Presuming you use WMP
As soon as the system tries to connect you rightclick on the screen and click properties. You then get the complete URL where the videofile comes from. Copy that and open WMP seperately. Click in WMP 'file' and open URL, then paste the copied video-url. Delete the :81 after .com and let WMP download the entire video. You can then save the video to any folder on your pc you like.

Good luck
