COMON

1st DVD from the NPGMC

I believe Prince is a twat. I purposefully avoid his website as much as possible, and only visit to find out about releases and how to obtain them. But so far this year I needn't have bothered joining. I get better info here, and can get the releases elswhere, often cheaper and sometimes quicker: This is a fact.

Got the DVD yesterday. I know Prince is a twat. But when you hear his guitar playing on Push and Pull you could forgive him almost anything. And, for me, this final paragraph just about sums him up. Thats my reaction.

Anxiety

I was thinking that just last night as I was watching the DVD - no matter what reindeer games he's playing with his fans or whatever foolishness he's trying to pull, put a guitar in the man's hands and all is forgiven...

...until the solo's through, anyway. wink

Agreed, it's just a shame that Nikka spoils it by starting all that crap over the top of it. I can't listen to it, I think she sounds awful on that part.
RIP sad

The chicken or the egg? Did Nikka spoil it, or did Prince spoil it by inviting her?

Prince seems to get his jollies off of frustrating people and pissing them off. This was cute back in the day when he was new to us, and droping some energetic and mind-blowing albums. But 20-something years later, the routine is wearing really thin.

I do enjoy his guitar solos alot though.

This comment and the one prior to it are so indicative of what truly matters: the music of Prince. Not his religion; not his business; not his personal life - its his craft.

Calling him names and complaining has never been supported with any great deal of logic or reasoning anyway. Not likeing the NPGMC or the fact that it cost a measley $25 and you didnt get a free album every month is not valid. Its just greedy.

Prince rocks and always has and haters can not deny it.
