This is probably Prince writing like his ideal fan - an illiterate sheep going off the ede of the cliff he's told it to jump off.

I'm so glad I don't belong to this ridiculous club. I know there is great music out there that I will probably never have if I don't join, but hell will have to freeze over before I join this radical, religious cult/club.

If you speak to any exJWs they will tell you that the religion took up so much of their time, they hardly had time for anything else.
