I never ordered the first one and after having lurked around here for awhile, I know there are different versions of this CD and there was a whole big controversy regarding it. (like the # of CD's, the lyrics, packaging, etc.) And I guess different versions of the songs on it as well. So is this the "correct" or best version to own?

Yes. It's the version we were sent back in 1998.

There are/were 2 versions of Crystal Ball.
There was a retail version that came in a square container with the 3 Crystal Ball cds plus the Truth cd and a very plain booklet with anecdotes about each song. This was sold at places like Blockbuster.
The other version is in the clear hockey puck container with the 5 cds and no booklet. This version was sold to most fans thru 1800NEWFUNK.

i have the 4 cd set, but hopeing to get the 5cd set soon.

and the track listings are the same either way, u just get Kamasutra.

if you can get it in the shop (and i've seen some in shops), you get the 3 cds and The Truth cd without Kamasutra (trust me, you ain't gonna miss it). plus there's a booklet with the extensive liner notes and credits.

You were sent the FIVE disc set by NPGMC/1800 NEWFUNK???..they didnt post out just 4 disc sets like teh one I got???

And some months later thet sent for free a casette copy of The War

Yeah thats when Im talking about (the same period when everybody had all the fuss about non-deliveries ands things) - sounds like that wasnt the only inconsistency then!!!
