Actually, the Nikka part is the one I could have done without - but to each his or her own. That rendition of Gotta Broken Heart Again is vintage Prince like no one else could do it.

Nikka was okay - I think I liked her better when "Like A Feather" first came out and I thought she was Sandra Bernhard - I wouldn't have minded her guest stint if she hadn't felt the need to caterwaul over Prince's guitar solo, grrr...the cranky guy yelling "SHADDAP!" from the back of the house, yeah, that woulda been me...

Right, that is why I dont like singers like her. She is a poor Janis Joplin clone.

I like Nikka, I just wish that she would have toned down the Beyonce factor a bit and let a man play his guitar.

With this rendition of GBHA, he should've been on the floor showing more emotion with his body than just standing there looking stiff and making faces. He should've gotten loose and animated and on the ground with the shit, and then that would be considered classic Prince, but not this rendition. The way he performed it here (though, the VOCALS were great and classic as far as the falsetto) was just too stiff for me, compared to the way he used to grind out a slow jam like this.

I thought it was a great version of "Scandalous", that just so happened to involve the lyrics to "Gotta Broken Heart Again".

Wel, I was referring to the actual music - not the theatrics. We all know that Prince was grown beyond that kind of thing but has retained - and some would say that he has improved - the most releveant aspects of his talent - singing, writing, and playing music. Anyone can writhe on the floor like he used to in the old days but no one can deliver a song like that.

A) Makes me want to watch Sign O the Times B) Whoever supervised the edit should be fired C) F O C U S D) Slow motion??? E) If you were a blind man, it was great! F) Why did the best song run over the credits? G) Family Name just stopped the whole vibe of the show. Triumph, go watch Sign O, or even Rave. ---------------------------------

C) Could have been better, yes. D) what? E) I think it was great and I can see just fine thanks. F) Because sometimes it snows in April, sorry couldn't resist. G) Perhaps it's a black thang, but I dug that song the most and to the dummy that thought the lines were just bad camera shooting, here's a clue: it was done on purpose to look like it was shot circa 1960's.
