I've never seen this video so I'm looking foward to it. Hope it's on DVD as well. They're probably releasing it to keep the European/non US fans happy because the Las Vegas DVD is NTSC. Not that it matters that much as most TVs and DVD players can play both formats nowdays.

Yeah but damn... doesn't Prince own his MASTERS??? If anything is going to be made availalbe through the Club it shouldn't exclude anyone. Everyone knows that if you live in the U.S. 99.9 percent of the people don't have PAL VHS format.

And for the record, I already have Beautiful Strange, so I'm just looking out for anybody else who might actually want to buy an original copy for themselves.

I love watching people defend the business practices of that place - it's the height of hilarity.

There's always threads going up saying "I wish he would re-released this, I wish he would re-released that etc" becuase not all of us have been fans (or had access to the net) for as long as others. It's good that we get the chance to get it again.

Also, did you realise that the new DVD is going to be NTSC? (for the time being anyway). That means that non US members (with an old TV ) won't be able to play it. So at least wait until we get all the details before you guys go on another bitching session (as you love to do, and seem to be doing 99% of the time!)

NPGMC announced recently that they're going to put copies of the "Beautiful Strange" show in NPG Retail next week.

But before you get too excited, keep these things in mind:

1. The video will be in PAL VHS format only.

2. Keep in mind the lovely quality of NPGMC's past VHS offerings. Any testimonials on those?

I posted a question to the NPGMC moderators asking if the quality of these tapes would be better than the shoddy videos they were selling in previous years, and my post was deleted. So I guess that's their answer.

Some will never be happy!!! Anyway you praise those shitty sound bootleg, so don't you won't any dfference with one more shitty stuff!!!

I am really happy that the video is out there again!!! Anyway this is an independant structure and it is very expensive to make DVDs...

Selling that beautiful strange video for anything more than $5 would be a crime (and buying it idiotic) ... the quality of the tape suggests that someone with an oldass vcr recorded it directly from tv (what was that japanese tape npgmc sold before? that was clearly recorded from tv and than multiplied in the cheapest possible way to ruin the quality even further)

This Aftershow is fantastic!!! I had it transfered to DVD and it's pristine. Guests include Chaka Khan,Larry Graham, & Dougie Fresh. You can skip the interview w/ Mel B.She seems dumb as bricks !
