What XACTLY is the point of NPGMC?

DISmay and DISbelief. What exactly are we getting from NPGMC at the end of the day.

The Prince DVD seems to be available to general public from 19th August 2003 for the PRINCELY sum of $14.99...hmmm isnt that the price from the website.

heres the proof:

http://www.amazon.com/exe...98-6959068

should we buy it from the "official" website?

I get more news about Prince and NPG from other better informed websites which actually give information instead of BEYONCE is looking like TINA TURNER! What???!!!

This website doesnt give us fams anything with regards to NEWS!!

Therefore i ask all the moderators out there...including Prince himself...What xactly is the point to NPGMC membership (other than advanced concert tickets...seeing that no tours are planned whatsoever!!)? You wouldnt even tell us anyway!

Disgruntled FAM - only after i saw that the DVD LV was available to the general public about only severals days after release from the "official" NPGMC!!!

Well, gotta look at it this way- If you are still such a big fan that you will take any music he makes, you should be in the club. Because do you really expect to see the NEWS album on store shelves soon? I know he intends to put it out, but I'd be surprised if you find a copy outside of the club for awhile...

You know, it has ALWAYS paid off in the end. NO ONE could feasibly complain about what we got from the club before it was over with. I am so sick of NPGMC cry babies.

Up until now, the membership did have some advantages so
let's just wait and see where things are heading.

With a new album in stores this month, he's bound to sit
on some more stuff he recorded lately and with a bit of
luck, some of it will leak through the npgmc.

Otherwise, the whole thing has no reason at all. It defies
any form of logic or common sense, is totally self absorbed
and selfrighteous.

It should be called www.solipsism.com
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Aw ...Lamont you are so understanding!!!

Try this experience on for size:

1)Charged Twice
2) No Rave...still
3)No NEWS
4) "Membership detail can not be found" when trying to order gig tickets
5)No notification of Xpectation or sound check down loads (but plenty of emails telling me to rejoin!!!)
6)No Notification of Glams Slam passwords

No tell me is it unreasonable/being "cry baby" to voice some kind of disattisfation with this type of service? And since this is the only place I get any aknowledgment of these problems Id rather vent my frustration to people that will listen and not just ignore my emails.

I don't think so. That's why I didn't re-join this year. For the life of me, I can not figure out why it requires so much Godamned EFFORT on my part just to purchase music from my favorite artist - or to attend one of his (high-priced) concerts.

Maybe that's just me.

Tis true, Robot.

I recall the genuine freak out that took place last year when the Rainbow Children, almost en masse, blamed Club members who went to the BBB for shutting down the club. I never heard an apology from any of them, nor a retraction, when it turned out to be untrue.

Then i got to thinking about it, and realized that when it comes to being "negative", our man P often takes the fucking the cake - from suing his fans, cancelling shows at the last minute for unexpliained or vague reasons, criticizing the Atlanta fans for the seating ruckus last year (brought about ENTIRELY by HIS insistence that we all exit the hall and be searched), the pissing contest with WB, the Lincoln thing, the misogany over the years, his (sudden) instistence on "clean" language, "Billy Jack Bitch"...

and so forth.

We learned from the master in may ways, and I've come to realize that Prince rarely practices what he preaches - and "preach" is the right word these days.
