They didn't give me a receipt when I bought a t-shirt at the park a few days ago...they just had a chick with a lockbox taking cash. I can't imagine that they would have ever had anything set up to print out receipts.

Lovemachine, I believe you. If some people feel like glossing this over because there is no physical receipt, then go ahead. Keep in mind that they don't GIVE receipts, anyway.

Lovemachine is correct that there were not shit-loads of the WEA Int. discs, but they were FOR SALE. Now I have no idea where he/they got them (settlement?), but they were probably making more profit from each disc, than if they were sold through regular channels where the artist usually makes pennies per disc.

Still, Prince can go on ebay and get all of these discs, if he didn't have the foresight to keep one of each...
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Please, no more about friggin receipts. It's a red herring brought up by someone hoping to get some proof against Paisley, NOT by a fam demanding to see proof.

Any more thoughts about the possible hypocrisy of "the email" since some of these cd's may have been available at the first celly? Or has "Paisleygate" run out of steam?

Thoughts on the likelihood?

Well, you can either believe the people on here who have posted that they bought them there, or you can choose not to believe them.

Boy, Prince is even boring ME lately.

Yes, considering he as given no explanation whatsoever that would make any sense for a possible lawsuit there is only one posssibility left and that is that Prince wants his fans to stop listening to the "old" Prince, for two reasons:

1)his faith doesn't allow him to go back to his old songs like they were originally created, because those were made under a contract with WB The resistor and contained profanity and sexual explicitness.

2)he probably hates WB so much that he will do anything to blackball them and drag his fans into it so he can use them again like he did with all the slave and namechange crap that was accompanied by the promise that he would 'free the music' once he was 'free' of his contract with WB. Well since many years he has been 'free" from Wb but he still hasn't freed the music. What he has done instead is that he has been free to lie and cheat and screw his fans out of all the dollars he could possibly make of them by charging ridiculous prices for cd's and concerts, maintaing a terrible customer service and breaking numerous promises made to fans, while purchasing more 10 million dollar properties around the world and still living his superstar life.

While he was at it he butchered his old recordings, refused to play any of his "explicit" songs, put down the old Prince and released the worst crap music ever in his carreer: NPS, rave and numerous crap remixes of his 90's recordings on Crystal ball and year 1 of the Club.

Prince doesn't want anything more to do with the old prince and therefore his fans shouldn't either. he wants to be in control of everything, even it is impossible. In reality he is now completely OUT OF control instead of IN control.

I think Prince is scared of himself in the past because he is somewhat mystified as to what he was doing that was so magical, musically. He has tried to recapture it, but he can't. I think that line about "my only competition is me in the past" is extremely telling.

I wouldn't exclude his new faith as one of the reasons why he is scared of himself in the past. Altho' imo TRC musically had some of the sparkles of the past, lyrically it was a 180 from what he has been doing "in the past".
