I think this point warrants its own additional thread on here, especially if this can indeed be substantiated w/ credit card receipts or other forms of proof. It's true. They sold them at Paisley. Paid cash though. "Sorry, we don't take checks." If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Therapy said: I have recently received 2 cd's that perhaps I shouldn't have. However they are not in this list. That is all the dodgey Prince merchandise I own. Do you think that's why I just don't understand why people are so pissed off with his request? I'm not. I am wondering if the more bootlegs one has, the more one is pissed? [This message was edited Sat Jul 26 7:43:10 PDT 2003 by Therapy] I'm evidence this is simply not true. I am hugely disappointed with prince over this and I own no bootlegs.. i ain't believin a word of that shit till i see it in stores. as for the sott dvd, he's late as hell in findin this out...nice try son, nice try. mine! and u know what else? If He had gotten off of His Paisley ass and worked with Warners in sanctioning a DVD release of SOTT, none of this would have happened, and there would be no 'underhand dealings' at all. But as ever, Prince passes over opportunities like wwe walk over pavestones. *why'd I waste my kisses on u* I dont know Prince...u tell me 4 once u arrogant f*ckwit

Okay this is how I c it...
1. the bootleg sign of the times dvd had nothing to do with warner bros. Warner Bros didnt release the orginal concert movie, Universal did. and what looked like happened, someone in Brazil transfered the movie from vhs to dvd then gave it to amazon to distribute. I think the people at amazon dont look into if the release is an official release or not. 2.the import singles that were released by warners in other countrys are legitimate and legal. Warners owns the right to the songs and can distribute them any way they see fit. As for Prince getting compensated for the songs, he was paid when he delivered the album. daddypop33

Wasn't the 'Very Best Of' CD unauthorised? I thought it was.
Why can't they use that as a basis for their lawsuit? Did his Warner Brothers contract state that they are only allowed 2 release songs with his appoval? If it didn't then WB are legally allowed 2 do this. Then there's no case! If there is a case then I can't see how having fans cds will help st all. They have all the catalogue numbers and even scanned in the covers so surely they have them already!? I actually think Prince has gone on a long holiday and doesn't really know what's going on at the club. Some staff are makin' a mess and when he gets back.. well...

Yes, it was posted in the club, and it was summarily deleted, along with the posting rights of the member(s) involved. So much for "truth."
