but this really isn't about money, from our perspective. it's about allowing WB to call the shots at the expense of the artist. if they really did what the NPGMC alleges they did, then artists everywhere will suffer, and thereby consumers will suffer too.

so it's about the principle of the thing. (ok, and the money too) but mostly the principle. WB shouldn't be allowed to dodge out of an agreement by distributing material through unauthorized channels, in foreign countries, by way of an affiliated corporate entity. especially when they forced prince to stick to his end of the agreement.

if he'd been able to do what they've (allegedly) done, then he could have released stuff independently under the symbol name while still under contract with WB.

Why can't NPGMC make such points as intelligently as you?

She is making a HUGE leap in saying that Warner Brothers distributed those albums through unauthorized channels. We have no proof of that and WEA is certainly a part of the WB.

yeah i'm taking the NPGMC's word for it. . .
so fuck me for a huge leap hey

I think you are going to feel foolish when all the facts come out, but I don't think they ever will because there isn't going to be a lawsuit. Trust me.

If you feel so strongly about the case maybe you should purchase one of the above mentioned cd's and mail it to Prince rolleyes

$12.99 should be nothing to someone who believes that mailing him a cd is going to help him win a big lawsuit.

http://www.amazon.com/exe...c&n=507846

Wait here is another item off his list and only another $11.99. I'm sure after all Prince has done for you it would probably make sense to mail him two cd's so he really kicks ass in the lawsuit.

You better send him this as well because I'm sure as someone who is in the right he couldn't/his lawyers couldn't get Amazon.com to stop selling this DVD (that doesn't mention WEA at all). Perhaps if you buy it and mail it to him he will once again prevail big grin
