NEWS on MSN.com homepage I was surprised to see this when I signed on to MSN.com this morning. There is a link as follows:
" -- Buy & download new Prince album: only $7" You click on the link and it takes you to: http://entertainment.msn....netcal=370 Apparently this deal is "exclusively from MSN and Prince!" This is pretty cool. It helps spread the word of the new music. You can also preview "The Work pt.1" and there is a link to the "NPG Music Store."

I'm not sure how "cool" I think this is. As a NPGMC member, I paid $25 bucks to get into the club and then paid more that $7 for the CD (I think it was $10 + a couple of bucks for shipping). Why wouldn't Prince take care of his club members better? The only benefits that I can see is that we received the music maybe a week or two before the rest and that we were able to get it on CD rather than as a download. I think I'm disappointed with how this worked out. Someone convince me one way or the other. . . .

Good point. The only "cool" thing is that more people will discover Prince's new direction and perhaps the NPGMC.
I do agree it tarnishes the whole "exclusive" aspect of the club. Especially when you consider some members who have "preordered" have not yet received their cds.

I think it's about time we start to realize that the club will never really be exclusive, and sadly it will never live up to its AMAZING potential. Oops, there I go having Xpectations again. Silly me. No confusion, no tears. No enemies, no fear. No sorrow, no pain. No ball, no chain.
