N.E.W.S/Wizard of Oz: more interesting tidbits While everyone by now knows that N.E.W.S. is an expirement of Pink Floyd nature, as an alternative track to the movie. I'll start an ongoing list of things to look for when watching...
-Start N.E.W.S. when Dorothey is just opening the door to Oz. The music goes perfectly for a good 5-10 minutes with the action on screen. -Notice the slow sax playing when the good witch enters for the 1st time. -The musical changes go perfectly from scene to scene, cut to cut. -The Blackwell drums when the Scarecrow is dancing. -The sad sounds when Dorthey crys -The wind sounds when the trees are throwing apples. With evil sounding music. I know people may think this is a crock, but try it. Prince want this N.E.W.S. to get out into the public. The Urban Legend of Purpleness 2003

I need you to share whatever it is that you are smoking
But I should add that I noticed that news followed along perfectly to the All Star Game the other night. Did you notice the creshendo of the drums just as Gagne gave up the game-winner? I believe Prince has written the perfect soundtrack for life (or my elevator next ride ) .

The Urban Legend of Purpleness 2003 i believe you. and, it makes sense when you think about the phrase 'he causes to become' at the beginning of the CD. because the wizard of oz DID cause them to become, by putting dorothy and her companions through their own metaphoric journeys of self-discovery as they traveled to see him.
