Well... my theory is that N.E.W.S was recorded "live" in Feb 2003 which doesn't exlude the possibility that Prince actually wrote/recorded the basic blueprint for the album in 2002.
But if such a recording exists, it would be interesting to hear, seeing as how N.E.W.S is so abstract that it doesn't really appear to have any sort of real structure to it from which a band could re-record "live". -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
