NPG MusicClub history Hello
Can anyone tell me what the deal was for the first year of the music club (2001?) and confirm that for 2002 you paid $100 and got four albums. (Can't think what all four were but I think that's right). I'm writing an article about music online and would like to put in a line about Prince. Sadly, don't think there will be room to include comments on how people feel about this year's offering. Anyone here got examples of other US acts who are using the web to keep in touch or market directly to fans? Thanks for your help! Sean --- www.sean.co.uk | |

2001 - it started on February 14, I believe
it consisted of 12 monthly downloads. The files included unreleased songs, rehearsals, videos and one-hour (approximately one-hour) ahdio shows (similar in their nature to a radio broadcast). In October The Rainbow Children album was a monthly download. the fee was $100. additional perks: I don't remember 2002 - started early, somewhere in January I believe four albums were promised We received (or should have received): - One Night Alone - a CD album - One Night Alone... Live - a 3-CD box set, with additional One Night Alone CD album - Xpectation - a mp3 album, released on January 1, 2003 - five mp3 files, the so-called C-Note (Copenhaga, Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo and Empty Room files). additional perks: access to soundchecks during the ONA tour in the US, Europe and Japan; pre-sale for concert tickets (first rows); Celebration 2002 (although non-members were admitted as well). that's more or less everything. If I forgot something, sorry! ______________
