I'm Officially Back-Ordered I received the following email from Music Today . . .today.
* * * * * Dear [customer], Thank you for ordering with Musictoday. Unfortunately, the following item(s) you ordered are on back order. P1CD01 - P1 Prince NEWS CD The item(s) you ordered should be received within 1-4 weeks. You will not be charged until your order is shipped and you will only be charged for shipping once. We apologize for the delay. Your product will be shipped immediately upon receipt of the item (s) to our warehouse. If you have questions, concerns, or need to change your order, please feel free to e-mail us at merchandise@musictoday.com or call 1-877-MUSIC-77. Thank you for your patience. [customer] Web order #: Cust #: [] Thank You, Customer Service Musictoday www.musictoday.com * * * * I know we were warned about back orders, but I ordered the dang CD at about 10:00 a.m. CST on June 19. How the hell can you be back ordered that fast? I suppose I can find the power to wait, but they should have better estimates of supply to meet the demand. I'm not bitchin' . . . just curious. I got the same e-mail just now, and I ordered the CD within 5 minutes of it going on sale.
I just sent them an e-mail letting them know it would make a big difference for my future business with them if they sent mine out in the first batch. I'll let you know what their reply is when I get one. | |

I got a confirmation email yesterday (6-26) stating they will be shipping "N.E.W.S." to me and my card will be charged. So, I'm assuming they ar beginning the first wave of mailings... I hope yours comes soon as well!! | |

The back order mails are standard MusicToday procedure for any item they cannot ship immediately. Since we could order 6 days before the first CD's started shipping, their system mailed out these 'apologies'.. MusicToday have confirmed to NPGMC that shipping has started today, friday June 27. Too days late, due to internal problems, apparently. Members should've gotten a mail about this from NPGMC (I did) | |

I did order it on the 19th, but it was more like in the late morning or early afternoon EDT, so I don't know what kind of order they're shipping it in to the members. | |

BTW, can you check your accounts at musictoday? The link from the e-mail leads me to the NPGMC Join page (also with firewall ahut down), so I though I'd try to go to my account through the site, but I forgot my password (actually I'm pretty sure that I remember it, but it doesn't work). What does it say there? And does anyone know if/how you can makw them send you you're password again? | |
