sdldawn, if it's up for sale on june 19th, then i can pretty much guarantee it'll take far longer than 2 weeks for it to get to my house (3 states over from paisley), just based on past experiences with npg retail. if it gets delivered at all, that is.

am i gonna order it anyway? fuck yeah...if it's only available through npg retail then if i want to have the music i don't have any choice.

i'm hoping that they put downloads up on 6/19 AND make it available for sale..that way, people can listen to the mp3's while they're waiting for the mail to arrive.

Just out of curiosity ... anyone have the NPGMC 2003 calendar?

Remember Peggy (prince.org user name : Mauve [w] http://www.prince.org/msg...tid=31470) mentioning that she saw June 19-22 CIRCLED on the June calendar month after she came home from Las Vegas in December? She posted on Prince.Org that it could possibly be Celebration 2003 dates.

Well, take a closer look at the month of June. Sure there is a "Tuesday June 19" (which is tommorrow) on the calendar. Was it misprinted for a purpose or by a misstake.

The "19" days were mentioned here a while back -- are the extra 19s in the month mistakes or there on purpose? Discuss.

As well, the third week of June -- Thursday-Sunday, 19-22 June -- is circled.

Now we have N*E*W*S "coming June 19 by Prince." Now, putting my thinking cap on, can those that are NPGMC members expect to download or listen to (stream) North on June 19, East on June 20, West on June 21, and South on June 22? Or will a new jazzfusion joint be added to a special section on the site each day during this time period?

i think the misprints are just that...misprints.
When I got my calendar, I emailed the info to NPG and they apologized for the misprint and said they would send me a corrected calender (never got it)...by the way February 10th on the calender was wrong too.

i think a good idea for the club would be to make the cd available to purchase. once you purchase it you can be given a password to one of the closed off rooms in the park. upon entering that private room you can begin downloading the music, this way you'll have it while you wait, but it would only be available to those who supported the music.

Where on the site does it say NEWS will be released june 19th? When i log in it just takes me to the castle.

Do you have to join to buy it?

Download or CD?

I AM NOT joining just to hear music I'll eventually acquire somewhere else (stores, internet or friends)

Hmmm...what do you guys think? This may be the first Prince album that I don't buy...it just doesn't interest me in the least from what I've heard. Everyone sounds pretty excited though...am I the only one who isn't really looking forward to this instrumental project?

I like some of Prince's other instrumental stuff, but this just sounds like a free-flowing type of jazz jam that they recorded. It just doesn't turn me on, although I guess we haven't heard much of it and maybe it will surprise.

hmmm...it sounded quite good at first but,by the end of the flash as, I was thinking "c'mon...whens this tune gonna go somewhere" - it just seems to plod along and repeat itself...cany yo imagine 56 mins of that?
