i think the news will be... i think this new album WILL be made available for download from the npgmc on june 19th, hopefully in good quality, and also be made available to buy in cd format. i think we can also safely say it will be all instrumental which is the main reason i think it will be made available for download.
i think their is a good chance he will release a more mainstream album before the end of the year, maybe on a major label. time to put my crystal ball away now but you know it makes sense. | |

Then why in the Vault in the NEWS part.. its format says CD?
Hope its both, if they posted mp3's.. I'd buy the cd also.. mp3's lack quality, especially with a bass line. | |

I am curious to see how much this will be. My guess will be a $10 price tag + shipping. I am hopeful that when purchasing the CD we'll be given a link to download MP3s while we wait for our order to ship. Now THAT would make for a fantastic release of a Prince album. I'm just happy to know of a release date...will be thrilled to hear this album. I miss P's voice but I'm sure there'll be plenty of other instruments on this album to dig. The snippets we've heard so far sound great. Learn how to spell edit... I expect it's going to be released in cd format (considering that's what's mentioned on the NPGMC) but maybe Prince will make both formats available. Would make sense.
It'll please those who prefer having cds or can't download music without hassling my friends (like myself!) plus allow those who can the opportunity to get it directly from the website. Madonna pre-sold downloads of 'American Life' recently and it seemed to be a success. Maybe it's the way forward P! | |
