Leaving For New York Wow, I just heard this song for the very first time. Yes, I
know, I've had it for ages now but somehow I always mistook this to be the "telephone conversation". I must have mixed up the trax when I listened to the boot the first time and always thought "oh that is that phone conversation about leaving for new york" Anyway, it's a nice enough tune. Did Prince write this himself or was it written by someone else?? I'm asking because it doesn't really sound like a Prince composition. And does anyone know the correct lyrics? I've googled till I was blue in the face but couldn't find them anywhere. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Prince wrote that way back when he was working on a demo...This was during the time that he wrote "Soft and Wet" and "We can work it out" He had such a positive attitud back than about Warner Brothers, it's a shame how it ended...Aloha~
