SWEET! the club has taken a huge turn for the better in the last week or so...

and i'm pretty sure eric won't be name-dropping jesus every chance he gets (no offense sheila, i love you - but is 'i'm all woman' really the best response?).

eric is my all-time favorite saxophonist...and i'm a saxophonist. not that my opinion is any more valid b/c of that wink

So glad Eric is still involved with the organization. He's about the only one who's ever made any sense and laid it out straight. That attitude is priceless considering where it comes from.

Now, I wonder if I'll be successfull getting into the chatroom this time?

PS Damn fine Saxophonist too.

just got the email (twice!!!) and even with a day to spare - i emailed NPGMC that because of the short time between notification of the last 2 chats I didn't even find out till after the events - mainly due to time differences between here (NZ) and USA - and hey - it may be coincidence - but I almost believe that they might have listened...good on them!
the club seems to be getting better as time goes...like the new 'studio' room...especially now I can download it and play with it offline!!!
pity we couldn't do it straight off with a download link on the site itself...but well - i can almost c y we wouldn't b allowed to...
now wouldn't it b great to have more samples to play with and be able to mix new grooves in and play with tempos etc...one can only imagine the possibilities...

lol I was thinking the same thing. Such a shame about the Sheila chat. I´m sure she is a very cool and nice person but her religious, diplomatic and politically correct answers couldn´t have been more boring. My impression of Eric Leeds is that he has more sense of humour and can be more to the point without the usual spiritual NPGMC mumbo jumbo. We´ll see...

groovement, should i tell prince or eric leeds?

i'd LOVE for atlanta bliss to make a return. man is FUNKY. i've never heard better trumpet playing in the last 20 or 30 years...musicians like him are becoming more of a rarity, i think.

i hope he's still playing.

i always thought atlanta bliss was the coolest damn name. i still do.

groovement, i gotta phrase it as a question wink
i think i'll say "would you consider working with atlanta bliss again? because i really enjoy the sound of you two together" or something like that. a question sneakily followed by a comment - what do you think?

i probably won't get a chance to ask ANYthing if it's 20 minutes long like the sheila e one was. that ended with a quickness.

i wish i could have gone home at lunch and logged myself into the chat room to get a good place in line...i wonder if it would have stayed logged in?

i ramble...

Could this Eric Leeds chat be an opportunity for some info on the N.E.W.S. cd to be doled out?
Perhaps he performed on N.E.W.S. - hence his chat - & will be forthcoming with some facts about release date, etc.

The Eric Leeds chat lasted about 90 minutes.
Except for the N.E.W.S. news nothing too exciting was said.
Lots of merry little pranksters kept it lively.
It was fun for a web chat.
