Now, I know NPGMC has auto-censor technology that prevents users from using profanity anywhere on the site, including in PMs to one another. That's old news, and not at all what I'm concerned about.

What I am concerned about is this:

Yesterday I sent a PM to a fellow NPGMC member, which was about three or four paragraphs long.

This morning I got a response from him, asking why I sent him a PM consisting only of a frowny face.

This might be some kind of quirk in the system - sometimes I'm not able to open PMs from certain users, and I've heard of other technical problems members have had.

However, if this was the result of monitoring PMs, I want to make it clear that this kind of practice is absolutely unacceptable. I'm sure, however, that this was merely a technical glitch and that NPGMC understands and respects that these communications are PRIVATE messages - hence the name.

Either way, I'm not amused.

I should explore NPGMC more. The only PM I know about are in the chat. Are there other ways to send a PM?

i think it's safe to say these are NOT the days of wild.

anxiety, nobody really knows. if you look in the "Member Help" forum on the club you'll see that many people had a similar experience...in fact, i received an e-mail in spanish from someone that i'm PRETTY sure doesn't speak spanish, and who definitely knows that I don't...

so i think over the last few days, PM's on the club have been all fucked up...people have been receiving other people's messages, etc.

i keep getting new messages yet when i click on them nothing happens. i have one that has been like that for four days or so now.

as of last night there was not one single response from the SCRODerators or pixxxius on any of the threads (at least, not as of last night. i haven't been on there yet today).

if ya'll are members, look at the Member Help forum. many members are recieving PM's from people they know, with the correct Subject line, but the text is in a different language, or in more than one case now, has been reported to be simply a frowning face.

who knows, maybe they ARE censoring shit!!! at any rate, they're not responding to any of the posts for help, not surprisingly.

Actually one of the Paisley Park crew came into the chat yesterday looking for the Administrator. He asked us if anyone were having problems with their PM's in the forums. At that time no one in the room were having any problems. But they mentioned that they knew others who were. The Paisley Park staff mentioned that Administrator was the one knowledgable about the technical side of things, so I am assuming that's why the PP2 was looking for Admin. So they are aware there is a problem and they are trying to work it out.
