erm well

maybe thats a tad extreme hehe

but point is

if your going to put a song up

leave it up

make it possible to download said song

so that people dont NEED to ship the mp3 to all of thier

shit out of luck mates

yet if this all persists,

you can buy a good wave editor and recorder for well

less than $25

i agree with shausler. the fact that people pay $25 and put up for this shit without even telling the club what's up... well, i find that disturbing.

don't you think that you have value? don't you think that you paid your dues and should hear the music too?

See I dont mind paying $25 cuz it quite cheap (or am I just comparing it to the $100 of the last 2 years!?)

However I too am finding it very very worrying that people are afraid to say when they arent happy with things or,even worse, cant admit that things are wrong. Im not sure what those people think is going to happen...Prince will breakdown and cry thinking he's lost the gift of making good music???, he'll suddenly realise that maybe teh club isnt quite as 'revolutinary' or practical as he though??? or maybe the feeling is that he will have his goons ban those people from the site???. In truth more than one of those scenarios is probably pretty acurate.

The fact of the matter is that the Club is not perfect - True, they never said it would be but should people really keep quite when they arent happy for fear of upsetting or speaking out against some peoples Leader???. I for one think im entitled to shout about teh fact that Inever received Rave IN2 in the first year or that they fucked up the ticket thing for me last yeart(the only reason Im probably not speaking out yet this year is the fact that theres been nothing to mess up yet).

The other thing that troubles me is the fact that the music now seems to take second palce to the preaching and moral clap-trap...you can hardly move over there for comments about peoples songs sounding similar to soemything Prince did, ungrateful musicians turning on record companies, how we shouldnt do this or do that.

NPGMC is like one big family my ass...Prince is the embarassing Grandad who keeps getting the war photos out at family gatherings and showing people how good he used to be when he was a nipper. Sometimes I think he forget that he is a pop star, not Malcom X, not Martin Luther King...hes not a world changer and hes only one step away from Michael Jackson territory

Anxiety

I think if anyone here went to the wrecka stow, bought a new CD, and got home to find there was nothing inside but a slip of paper saying "we'll get your disc to you...eventually...so till then just CHILL OUT"...you might be a little perturbed.

Maybe if they quit calling it a "music club", people would quit getting so worked up.

"New Power Generation Cult of Personality" - that has a ring to it.

The thing that upsets me most is the attitude of: This is Prince, he's always been like this. Does that make it okay? If I were to sit back and not say anything when I feel I have been done wrong, that hurts me, not him.

i have no problem with people complaining about the club not meeting their expectations..

the only problem i have is seeing friends being told they write like 3 year olds and seeing anyone who seems to be happy with the way the club is going being told they are ignorant...

people are militant about the freedom to express their opinions against the club, but when someone questions them that person is called an idiot, dumb, sheep, whatever...

it goes both ways and while people should be free to complain, they should respect the rights of others to compliment...

although i'm still not going to feel bad for saying he writes like a 3 year old. hey, evidently prince LIKES that, he got his poem published on the site, who cares what *i* have to say?

theblueangel,
Ricco writes very well, he writes intelligently & expresses deep insights, he writes funny, he writes in honor of God, Jesus, & Prince. If he, or anyone, spells a word incorrectly or doesn't use the proper grammar occasionally (which many people don't when doing brief notes in forums) there is nothing wrong with that. It certainly is no reason to belittle a person.

People do care what you say. People care what each person has to say on the Org and on the NPG site. I don't know why there's such tension since the NPG site started. I go to both sites - I appreciate both sites.

Peace

I agree with a lot of what he says - it's just that sometimes what he's TRYING 2 say either isnt put across QUITE how he means, or His threads get jacked by the purple kool-aid crowd.
Even when i dont agree with what he says - im kinda glad he's around and pushing buttons 2 wake people up from their slumber.

Oh yeah, I should have said this a long time ago...thank you all very much for the comments you have posted on this thread! They warm up my bitter, cold heart - y'all rawk.

HolyWine,

I hear what you're saying..but I'm not kidding when I say that I can't understand RicooTheArtist's posts. We're not talking about misspellings - we're talking about damn near incoherence.

But it must be me, and I don't want to keep upsetting people on this particular topic, because certainly Ricco has every right to post in whatever the fuck way he pleases. Although I honestly DO wish the man would step up to the fucking plate and DESCRIBE THE NEW SONGS. Jeesh.
