The era that The Vault II is covering isn't really that impressive compared to The Vault I, although there IS a ton of good music in there . . .

What is the point of putting streaming clips of a bunch of songs we already have? Anyone who has gone to the trouble of finding his site and joining is more than likely a diehard fan who already owns these albums. Perplexing.

Is it me, or do you have to stay in the Reflection Room to hear the songs? When I play the songs, if I leave the RR the songs cut off.

To me that's a drag. I'd love to listen to the songs while chatting or whatever.

Open a new Explorer window, and you can do that.

What did you expect? "The Vault" is only a glorified discography.

exactly, for some bizarre reason, the Vault I, II and III are simply a discography...and they're not as good as the one that used to be up on the old site for free.

and we have to wait for each one to come out? not to mention the fact that many releases are mysteriously absent, we all OWN these therefore there's no need for a sample (and anyway they don't actually give you a choice on each album)...

i keep posting on the club to the moderators, asking them why in the world they would call a discography "The Vault I through III" - it makes no sense at all, considering prince and his fans have long called the place where Prince keeps all his unreleased tracks "The Vault". not the fucking released shit.

if yer gonna do that, put up high quality mp3's of all the old 12" singles...doesn't prince care about his music anymore? the way he maintains his catalog is totally negligent.

hey TOEJAM!!! (yer not the only one who can SCREAM FOR NO REASON IN ALL CAPS!!!)

when the club first opened, there was (for a brief time) a brand-spanking-NEW song in the (gasp!) REFLECTIONS room.

so why do you keep coming down on people for complaining. it's not like it's common knowledge that a room with a pool is where you go to "reflect" on your life or something.

if the CLUB doesn't even know that supposedly the reflection room isn't ever going to have new tracks, then how are we supposed to know?

and besides, even assuming this will always house old songs...why not old songs that are released but hard to come by? there are plenty, such as alexa de paris.

oh yeah, i know why...because nobody cares about the music anymore. i bet PaisleyPark9 has never even HEARD of alexa de paris.

I think they initially had a new song called "Reflections" played in that room to draw attention to that room and sort of introduce it, since the song is basically about him looking and reflecting fondly into the past. So, any subsequent songs played in there would be songs from the past. After all, I don't even think the Club promised ANY new music at all when it was renewal time. sad Not defending, necessarily, just explaining...

Thanks, BA. Did they promise it? I'll have to read it again because I cautiously signed up thinking I had to remember to not complain too much if we don't get any new music this year. LOL!

This all start to get on my nerves...

Go to BB if you are not happy! I mean there was no real promise of anything new! Especially after one month!!!

Come on man! If you don't like the club why did you make such a fuss when they kicked you out of it?

Why did you join except for being sarcisatic and dissing it on the org!

New will come. Just wait!

Is anyone really surprised? Considering what was in the Vault I, material up to 1993, it was kinda obvious that Vault II would probably be exactly what it is, 1993-recent. Vault III will hopefully be more interesting since TRC and ONA Live and Xpectation really don't justify a whole room.
