I thought Xenophobia was meant to be "coming to a monitor near me soon"

Did it come to a monitor near anybodyelse...what about a monitor fairly close but just a bit too far.

Also did anything else happen about the $100 sample disc set?

$700???!!! Im a musician but I wouldnt pay that...especially after what they are doing to Ronan Keating for using a SIMILAR guitar sound to Purpel Rain.

Can you imagine teh fuss if I released another track but with an ACTUAL Prince sample in it.

so, johnny...when you saw the announcement back in, what? august or something last year? on the club that said "XENOPHOBIA - COMING SOON TO A MONITOR NEAR YOU", what did you think might be coming?

and do you feel that the c-note and xpectation downloads were the fulfillment of that advertisement, or promo, or whatever you wanna call it?

i love all those downloads, by the way, and i'm not trying to be provocative - i really am curious as to how you feel on this...me personally? i just don't know why you would announce tracks that you're going to put available for download in december in august as "coming soon to a monitor near you." - i mean, makes no sense to me whatsoever. sounds to ME like prince was going to release a dvd as part of membership last year and balked at the price or, i dunno, The Work involved.

before anyone gets all up in my ass, keep in mind that i KNOW this man has worked harder than i could ever dream to..ok? obviously we agree he's an amazing musician/performer/etc. or we wouldn't be here, right? i'm talking about the last few years..in terms of "having access" to his music, it's getting increasingly tiresome and irritating. at least to me.

but then again, it forces me to be so frustrated that i actually (gasp!) come out of lurking and start actively posting...so as always, there are many positives to come out of the negative.

I remember there was alot of speculation that he might release a DVD last year, but experience has taught me that unless he clearly says "I will release a DVD" then it's all just speculation. Heck, even when he does clearly announce that something is coming you gotta take it with a grain of salt. Anyway, I would be pissed if he didn't release a DVD this year, although I don't think it'll be part of the club membership.

The C-note stuf was emailed in a weird way, like it was meant to be city/country specific if I remember right. Still, it got so much play here at the org, that it was a widely known "secret"
