I still don't get why they don't just use MPEG4s that everyone can view.

A big THANK YOU to the NPGMC for listening to our feedback. I am running Mac OS X with a cable modem connection. I was able to view the videos by choosing the Real format. Using Internet Explorer I was able to view all three sizes. However, all three were a very small (1.5" wide) size. Using Apple's Safari browser, the large videos played as they should in a more full-size format. The large Real video played flawlessly and performed much better than the Windows Media equivalent on my Windows XP machine. I hope the rest of you experience similar successful results.

PS I'm still in favor of QuickTime, but let's take what we can get.

In Internet Explorer in OS X, let the hi-res movie files load, then control-click on the movie and select "play in Real Player". The movie will open in a Real Player window and it will play at the correct size.

I can't even get into the club using Safari (most recent version) -- it won't accept my username/password. It works for you?

Chacmool

I just checked out the high quality Work realvideo clip, and the quality is really good. Also, realvideo is supported natively on Linux, whereas Quicktime isn't, as far as I know. Correct me if I'm wrong.

But mpeg2 or mpeg4/XviD would also be a nice choice for a universally supported format...
