I was a member last year. Joined in November only because there was new music out. Totally brilliant and bettre than expectations. But I am concerned that this new club seems to be more of interactive experience rather than about music? I am not really big into the Celly idea - love the gigs but for the music again you see. Chatrooms and puzzles are not my bag. So - should I join???

No...wait for somethin BIG (CD's) to come...save yourself the current frustration...

Get Reflection from someone...maybe even the video's.
Since even when you join, you hardly will be able to see the video's (75 mb streaming? Yeah right...)

I'm tempted to say join but you should peruse the threads here, see what people say about what's available & decide for yourself. It's only $25 - you can blow that dickin around easily, it's a trip to the atm. If you don't like it, what have you lost really? You're obviously interested or you wouldn't have started this thread!

It is not the money - it is a really small amount - it is just I am Yorkshire born and therefore a tight-wad!!

At first, I considered to wait for something REAL to happen, but then I thought; why join in a few weeks/months and pay $25 while I can also join now and pay $25.

Absolutely NOT. It's hardly worth visiting even if the site was free. Unless, of course, you enjoy childish quasi-fantasy cartoon graphics, tedious portals from one area to another, and videos that can be heard, but not seen.



My advice: Save your money. Check HERE once in a while to see if Prince has finally added something of actual value to this overburdened, preachy site. Surely those of us who have already blindly donated $25 to that lame site will immediately alert you to the addition of something substantive - if and when that occurs.

It doesn't sound like you should join based on what you've said about your tastes and interests. I joined the first day and it has already been worth it as far as entertainment value. $25 for an entire year is negligible in my book, and as I said, it will be more than worth it to enjoy the site all year and download new songs, etc. (I'm sure there will be at least a few more).

But that is me, and it sounds like it's not worth it to many people. That doesn't make me wrong or them wrong, it makes all of us right as far as what we like to spend our money on and what we get out of it.

TonyC - thanks 4 that - its cool that peeps can get into this new genre and hats off to P for having the balls to give it a go. From what is / has being / been said tho' I cant see myslef joining. The White Mansion lyrics finally made up my mind!!

Thanks for starting this thread, LoveRobot. I've been debating it in my mind for a while. But I agree with you, I just want the music. I don't want to have to play games and cluck like a chicken while quoting psalms from the bible to get it.

I was just afraid that he would put up a new song (streamed) for a few weeks, then take it down permanently, and then put a a new one up. So waiting for something BIG would mean that I would miss out on some good streamed songs.

But for now I'll read what people are saying here on the org.

Does anyone know if the DVD will go to retail, or will it be shipped to members only?

to try to clear up some of the confusion, the 3 "new" songs in the reflection pool (or whatever you wanna call it) are just the first 4 tracks from the ahdio show from september 2001. it's just a very slightly different beginning of the lovesexy album...basically the real thing with a couple over-dubs, and then elephants and flowers and annastesia...both exactly as we all have them, except i think shorter than the album versions.

and as of now, the reflection mp3 HAS been taken off the site. i'm not really sure why, and there hasn't been any communication from the npgmc regarding this...if any paying members just joined or were not able to get this song, let me know. i'd like to start a tree or something...it's a great song, and y'all should hear it.
