MediaPlayer 9 to MediaPlayer 7 I am having problems playing the (downloaded ) videofiles... Looks like my doesn't have enough memory to use MediaPlayer 9, which is necessary to play the video's. I get proper sound a every 2 seconds a new image... Is there any way to convert the mp9 files to mp7 files? Or are there mp7 files on the npgmc site? Help... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

What platform are you on (windows or mac) -- and BTW, how did you get the videos to download if you couldn't play them online? I haven't been able to get any of the video files to work. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/

Hmmm Yeah, I can play the MP7 files somewhat okay as they load faster but I can't play the MP9 files at all, I get sound but no video.
I'm running windows 2000 on a DELL Dimension 4200 with a T1 connection. Any advice. *********************************************

Sounds as if your problem is that the video has not completed it's buffering, not your player. Make sure that you increase the allowable size of your temporary internet folder to it's maximum (Tools>Internet Options>Temporary Internet Files>Settings) and save your changes. Then, allow the enite video to complete (click pause when it starts playing the snippets---downloading takes forever on a 56k), and simply start the video and it will play in it's entirety. Good luck. ______________________________________

As soon as we did, the video played all the way through with just one buffering...ahhh!!! So...how's everybody doing?

I do have mediaplayer 9, duh...
My problem is, I do not have the RAM mp 9 requires. So it's either buying more RAM or converting the video's ti mp 7... No suggestions? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

No suggestions? i'd buy more RAM if I were you ... it's pretty cheap at the moment (i think you should be able to get 512 MB for around $50) and your whole computing experience will improve "this especially prepared potato is called pomme de terre"
