NPGMClub : A Nightmare!!!!

Now I'm really nuts and err

I have had to put so much time into trying to negotiate the site that I had
a major nightmare last night!

Of course the setting was Paisely Park...and...the new "CLUB" house
combined with some other weird house that was pretty at times and sometimes a shack.

Anybody remember "Tuna" from the celly and from the Org
Bar-B-Q? Well Tuna and NuPwrSoul were the main players.
They were running around sooo happy to be at Prince's place
and I was "responsible" for keeping up with them and making sure they still did their college stuff!
bawl
They kept running in and out of the "houses".
Remember when we were all waiting for our ONA Boxed set?
Remember NuPwrSoul posting that he was running after UPS truck like a girl?
Well that's how he was acting again! rolleyes
And to make matters worse, Tuna had one of those Michael Jackson snakes
for a pet and it kept showing up everywhere! ill
(no sex symbolism either!...I don't wanna hear it!) no no no!
The snake decided to have a thousand little ones...ugh. barf
One of the sweet elderly sisters from the Kingdom Hall stopped by and just pretended
not to be bothered by all the chaos. square
She jus kept assuring me that everything would be allright comfort
I was calling an exterminator for the snakes and NuPwrSoul and Tuna were showing
me some half-baked science project for college that looked like 5th grade work!!! shake
I woke up with a muscle spasm in my chest (from hitting at those baby snakes, I'm sure).
So I have decided, that for now, I will leave the clubHOUSE to those with DSL or better
and somebody will just have to give me the downloads later.
There was more to the dream from the "HOUSE" but I forget ..U know how dreams are...
Anybody else have experiences??? nutty

If they make the files on that site any bigger they're gonna have to start burning the whole thing on CD and mailing it to us LOL

I get clients all the time who had their in house graphic designer whip up a web site for them, and its the same situation over and over. They, for some reason, have no clue how to keep the sites files compressed down enough to make it practical to view over the web. Then I have to go through and correct all their mistakes and basically redesign the whole damn thing lol.

Makes you wonder sometimes if the designers of graphic-intensive websites ever sit down and try to surf them before hand. As an artist, I LOVE flashy graphics and shit like that, but not at the expense of enjoyment or functionality.

Hi, Melody. Long time, no hear. Keep me posted on the Club experience this year. I'm gonna be a bystander this time...

I have a broadband connection and everything has loaded fine for me. If you are still in the stone age with dialup, blame your cable or phone company (or yourself) for that, don't blame the NPGMC.

Hi Herb!
The designers apologized and said they never expected such an overwhelming response.
I am assuming the site will get better and better.
You know me ... always the optimist.
Already they have added "Entering..." so that you don't click off
the black screen since it takes so long to enter...lol
Of course I will keep you posted.
Love,
Melody

hey tony, long time.., how's it going?

but, i don't know about the stone age thing. i was having problems with the site at home and chalked up to my antiquated equipment, so went down to school computer center that has wicked fast T1 connections that usually fly through anything. if i download music on one of those things and get anything less than 900KB per second, i get annoyed, and even those wouldn't stream the videos in the "high" mode uninterrupted.
