Can you open a checking account? If so, most banks will issue you a debit card that works exactly like a credit card, except that funds are automatically removed from your checking account at the time of your purchase. Just a thought.

The drug stores around where I live sell temporary credit cards too. You purchase a card and deposit whatever amount of money you want on it, then can use it like a credit card.
