I think that fact that many fans who are members of the new NPGMC are coming to Prince.org to find solutions to their NPGMC problems speaks volumes about the level of service one can expect to find when joining the club.

Can't you all chat with each other in the club??? Doesn't NPGMC respond to your questions and concerns??? I guess not, huh?

NPGMC needs to write a check to Prince.org for the outstanding customer service that apparently can only be found here on Prince.org!

I must admit that I have been on the org more than on the NPGMC site since it opened. I've just found the experience friendlier on the org to help me understand what I should be looking for on the NPGMC site. There is a sense of community on the org that isn't at the NPGMC site yet where we're all trying to help each other troubleshoot through some of the problems that the NPGMC site is having. Don't get me wrong though -- I have great hopes for the NPGMC site, but I'll always see myself as a member of the org too.

i haven't personally had any problems that i felt were worth writing an email about...

i don't really know if they'll answer or not...

in the past they were always quick to write me back...


as for the discussions over here, it's just easier to see if people are experiencing the same problems as you before you start actually asking...also a lot of my 'problems' i've worked out myself and they were just a matter of trying a few different things...or seeing what other people said...and they weren't even 'problems' once i figured out what was going on...

people also ask questions on the forums over there and in the chat..

i don't think you can really write off their customer service just because people are talking about it over here..a lot of the people from over here go over there for a very obvious reason...why not talk about it here?

why not do both?

the NPGMC site may take some "business" away from Prince.org, but I still will frequent this site for the "real deal" on Prince discussion. I'm sure the NPGMC message board will not be as objective as the one here, and more importantly, this site is easier to use. You can see more topics here on one screen and navigate from thread to thread much easier here.

Still the NPGMC message board will be a good complement to the Prince.org one. They can certainly co-exist and feed off one another to an extent. I like the Housequake.com board too, although I don't really visit it that often.

The reason I'm here more than the NPGMC board is because it takes so long to go there, load the pages and find the damn room. I hope everything gets straightened out because I do support the club as I did all year last year (unlike many) but I'm really scared about it getting out of control and unfair (unfair to Mac users, unfair to Europeans, unfair to people who aren't fortunate to be able to hear the songs or see the videos correctly...I wont go on)

It doesn't matter to me one bit that people chat on both Prince.org and NPGMC. MY point is that many people have obviously had proplems logging on, viewing, hearing and experiencing in general whatever is being offered at NPGMC but they are coming to Prince.org to find solutions to problems at NPGMC. Why is that??? If NPGMC was responsive to its members there would be no need for NPGMC members to come to Prince.org to get answers to their problems at NPGMC. Whether or not there would be a Prince.org without Prince is irrelevant to my point, so I don't know what you're getting at.

But the fact that fans go between Prince.org and NPGMC to chat and communicate in general is fine. It's when paying members of the club see the need to go elsewhere to get solutions to their problems at NPGMC that I see as beeing an indication of poor service at NPGMC.
