OK, it's been only a few days, & it ain't xpensive anyway, but, 4 those of u who have paid, r u satisfied? Why or why not ?

definitely worth it! I am very xcited about the possibilites this much more interactive site can offer. also because it feels much more like acomunity on the site, hopefully it will blossom into a strong one, like the way the NPGMC was always supposed to be.

But can it's community be anything like what we have here on the org? Meaning that this is a very active, diverse, and (sometimes overly-)critical community. Prince.org has the nicest forum I've ever used, and there are just so many people posting!

Yes, I'm satisfied. To me it's about supporting the music, the club, the artist who created music that I've enjoyed throughout the years.
I don't expect to get anything. the chat is fun and there's a forum and I'm sure there'll be more stuff coming soon.

Since the price is so low, do you think that P will be charging per download for songs??

I'm happy with it, assuming that they get all of the content working for Macs before too long. I have this sense that he/they really wanted to make a nice online space for us, and I appreciate it.

As far as the community aspect, I think they are trying (with the forum/chat) to capture something like the org, and I don't think it will happen, just because it is technically so much more restrictive, because people won't want to be critical on "Prince's own site", and because of the overwhelming stench of fam.

Which is fine, they don't need to have the online Prince community be hosted at the official site. . .no reason for that.
