I get the passwords and the room is closed! I didnt even get a chance to access it. Did this happen to anyone else?

Yes. From various reports, the room was only accessing the songs for a short time... I've heard 20 minutes or so... then that ended, and eventually the room became inaccessible.

I never got to see inside the room, or hear any of the songs.

Well, I was there and fall asleep (04:30 am!). I would download them in the morning, but the acces was blocked... I heard it but I didn't had the chance to download them.

I got into the room and saw the 3 files but they wouldnt play. Then I went out and tried to go back in and it sais that the party was over. Thats bullshit!

Well, I never even got the e-mail that allegedly went out to all members regarding the VIP room. The only e-mail I've gotten from the club was my membership confirmation and the apology from Pixius.

They announced the username and password in the chat room. Then shortly after I recieved an email with the username and password.

I logged into the room, and tried to play the tracks but they were streaming so incredibly slow, I left.

i e-mailed them about the closure and got a generic response saying that this event was closed and they "...will do it again soon", but no specifics...

i know it's frustrating not to enter the VIP room but, believe me, nothing special in it, just a 15 min-piece of the npg audio show n°1 (hot wit u, human body...)!!

Certainly it was in the middle of the night for Europe so it seemed aimed at member in the USA, who maybe would have speedier access being on the same continent? I'm not so bothered this time because it seems like the music was just the old January ahdio show which I've already got, but if it was something rarer I'd have been well put out...

The NPGMC needs to inform people in the email that it's for a limited time only.

I got the email this morning at work- rushed home at 5 to find that it was over!

I'd rather not receive future emails of this nature if this is going to be the case.

I'm in Europe, I got the email (so no, it was not only aimed at Americans and certainly, not the first hundred who joined because I did not join the night it opened, I could not access the website properly), unfortunately, being set at 4am my time, I could not be there. I hope that next time, they will make it last long enough so as to allow the rest of the world to see what the fuss is about.

I got the same email yesterday. But I didn't open it until just about an hour ago. Unless they were testing the program, it's silly. There is no way, as slow as their servers are, that any decent number of people could have downloaded or listened to the song(s) all at the same time.

Well I am certainly glad that I visit Prince.org.I received the e-mail (I am also in Europe) and I have spent a while searching for this only to now find out that it is over.
Prince has to realise that this is frustrating, next time it would be an idea to mention that its only for a limited time.
Unless you are permenently connected to your computer there is no way that this experience would have been easily accessible to the majority of us.

Did anyone successfully download these three songs?

I have been a staunch supporter of the club from day one but its shit like this that gives the naysayers and haters fuel for their bitching. Unless it is some technical glitch, it is the stupidest stunt that they have ever pulled on us.

Did you guys just meet Prince today or what? I was not suprised at all that the mixes were not downloadabe or that they were only up for a short period of time. Although some of you may be disappointed you weren't there, if you are not a completely new member, there was nothing played that you haven't heard before or similar to what you have heard before if you ever heard P's DJ spin. P does what he wants to do, so stop whining like he is predictable cuz he ain't and will never be.

It was open for at least 2 hours. Windows Media does present some problems but usually once I let it take forever to rebuffer the first time, the next time it plays through. Besides that, someone was posting on here last night that if you got them into your temp internet files you could save them. And the room is LOVELY!

My first post since the NPGMC re-opened and I gotta say...

I LOVE IT!

I'm not the nost technically-minded person (I'll leave that to you guys) but, to my amateur eyes, I think it's great.

Jeez, it's not perfect but everyone's been bitching for months then, when it does return, all everyone does is moan!

Anyway, I think the best way to combat so many people trying to access the Glam Slam room is to send out emails - a la the C-Note ep - to diferent continents, at different times. Then they can open Glam Slam at different times of day. That way, everyone gets a chance to visit the room at at time which is more suited to which partof the world they live in. I.E. - people in the UK won't have to get up at 4am in the morning!!! Make sense?
