I get very irritated when people pick and choose fanatical quotes from the bible. They can be very misleading. And often when people do this, they are preying on your possible ignorance to the rest of the bible.

Many Christians Ive met have exclaimed to me that this country was founded on Christianity. I laugh at them because they are obviously repeating to me what their preacher told them. I know damn well they didn't learn that from a history book. In fact I often tell them to go read the constitution and some of the writings of our founding fathers to realize how off base they are.

Hmmm...sounds like you just saw the bible references and stopped looking. There is more in that room than that. I'm pretty certain he did it that way on purpose, knowing that the unenlightened would take one look at the bible references and head for the nearest exit. And those seeking knowledge (hence the name of the room) would keep searching and would find what they seek.

If you set your mind free baby, maybe you'd understand

I've been all through the site. I read the quotes. The post was in reference to the way some people do pick&choose preaching, they pull lines out of the bible that suit their agenda and ignore the rest. That isnt knowledge, thats ignorance.

The site itself is relatively passive about this. He isn't shoving guotes in our face in every room. He seems to be sharing some passages that grabbed his attention. But in general, excessive quoting can sometimes rub some people the wrong way, not because of the words themselves but the manner in which someone is spouting them off to you. Thats often associated with overzealous and self righteous people.

Ya know, it's cool that this room exists and all, and I don't fault him for wanting to spread the word of God. BUT, it seems that this is the most extensive "room" on the site. It's a MUSIC site, yet there's hardly any of it on there. I'm just hoping MUCH more of it will become available soon because this site does have TONS of potential (but then again, so did the other two editions).
