I'm so sorry: But theres no hiding the clubs awful at the moment!

Today I actually visited the Knowldge Room! There should be sperate sites, one for Music and one for the rest of the content.
I don't mind the commentaries about the industry but the religous stuff is a bit much really. 99% of the people are there for the Music and I'm not sure its fair to hit people with such views.
And it seems it can only get worse.

In my mind I am now have to divorce Prince the person from the Prince the Musician. Otherwise Prince is off the stero.

I'm sorry for all involved. sigh.

I think if you want the goodies from Prince these days, you gotta endure his Dogma...I think it's interesting to read his rants and sermonizing, and sometimes he even manages to make a good point or two. It's his club and his site, so if he wants to include his rants, then that's completely his right. I think that's cool - even if I don't think his specific VIEWS are always cool.

If you don't like the room, don't go in. It would be different if you had to wade through 17 pages of the Watchtower to find the links for music etc, but you don't.

I have walked/clicked into these rooms and come straight back out again. Like walking into the ladies lingerie section of a department store, oops

Except sometimes I might wanna take a look at a bra or two. And if I'm in an open-minded mood, I might like to see what makes Prince tick. It is after all his website and there is plenty for everyone.

NB I don not believe in god, or wearing ladies underwear.

i've come to that same creepy conclusion over the last week...while i used to think that other members, like me, were most interested in the music, i now agree with stymie. the people that sit in the chat room over there and jump all over anyone who shows "negativity," etc - i mean, nobody talks about the music at all anymore. granted, there's only one new track, but a few years ago we'd be talking about that track...instead it's all "oh! there's a W on the floor" and "the dog has a name now!" - i probably shouldn't say that, and i really don't mean to make fun of anyone. i just think it's interesting how the music seems to be subjEgated.

So don't apologize for finding to club "awful" to your personal tastes.

how so? do you mean in terms of the org forgetting about the music too? i can see your point there, if that's what you're saying...i guess i'm guilty of that to a degree too from time to time. but on the org you have people like rudedog who write amazing, passionate posts about nothing except the music. i'm not sure i could find even one post on the npgmc chat room that has anything to do with music. of course, a good portion of his back catalog is apparently "off limits" now anyway.
