My thoughts on NPGMC

I paid 25$ for a basic open house.

Some thoughts

THE NPGMC manor looks like one of Saddam Hussein's palaces. I was looking for a portrait/statue of Saddam making the Get Wild sign in the foyer. To no such luck did I discover anything.

The Library reminds me of the library in Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade ...

One of my great doubts is not Prince's ability ,but to maintain this site it is going to be a 24-7 job. I would rather focus on paperwork for ordering music projects if things got too laboring for the staff.

I like the site and I felt like I paid 25 to donate to help get it "furniture" and pay its "mortgage"
"Rent" "Heat"

But maybe thats what the Dome thing Prince is building was. Maybe it was a NPGMC complex.

Alot of this design in graphics and 3-d myst like tour comes str8 out of Prince Interactive. Its like Interactive II. But like I said, be easy on the work hours of this site. Get a album and that DVD out...this year?
Then I will gladly pay extra.

I do think though these donations could go to actual headquarters for NPGMC. Instead of just a virtual one a actual one...

It would be eccentric for an artist to have a music club headquarters. I think members would pay just like they pay for some Country Club to get that type of project off the ground. If you had it open every season of the year, I think members would pay to stay there also when in town. It would make you more at ease not worried about being ushered out by security. Cuz this is your place.
But that is just a dream...for now.

I don't give a damn about the graphic, it can look even like a dirty toilet. What I want is contents, information, exclusive downloads, tickets...we'll see
cheers

Once again I will support the man...It's a deal I made with him about 20 years ago...And on 19 April the 1 yr. anniversary that I was able to share the ONA tour in L.A. with my wife for the first time ever...Then she finally saw what I've seen since we were 12...Aloha Prince-welcome back!

This is a very serene, nice "palace" type structure, but some of the art and look of te crib reminds me a lot of what something JW/Egyptian-like (like a fantasy Kingdom Hall), and I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Just making an observation. I just hope I remember how to get to some of the rooms when I there's something new to look at or hear. So far, I like the idea of where this whole thing can go, but potential doesn't put food on the table, as they sometimes say.

I also like how they've given folks an option and choice of what Internet speed/connection they're using. Those with regular modems won't be stuck just trying to get past the initial gates and shit!

I love it so far. It has so much potential and I can see those rooms developing into kick arse places to be. . You can spend some time looking at everything where as the old design was just a quick look and you're out. The music will always be there. At the end of the day the web guys will be working on the site and doing what Prince wants. .

Nice graphics are all very well, but it makes it very hard for members with low speed internet connections to access the site, a problem you didn't get as much with the previous incarnation.

I shouldn't have to spend hours accessing the site waiting for black screens to do something. I'd use the html version but it doesn't seem to do anything... or perhaps I didn't wait the requisite half hour?

It seems poorly programmed to me, with most flash sites at least you get a 'loading' bar so you know something's actually happening.
