NPGMC is rather Lo-FI

I know there are a lot of folks here who love anything the little man does without question - but really, it is quite lo-fo, with little actual content, a price tag that leaves folks wondering what on earth they are paying for - a streaming lo-fi audio file, and a short prevew of a DVD that will go on genereal release.

I would worry about this if the NPGMC had ripped us off in the past. We got more than expected last year. Xpectation and TRC along with all those audio shows and video files was more than worth the money. I am not evn counting the 2 free aftershows I saw which were worth $100 each if I bought a ticket to each.

Only people who lunched on last year and missed out would worry about this.

He definitely went for the "promise them as little as possible approach" this year.
We went from $100 for 4 cds to $25 for membership with no promises.
Lets hope the year(?) bears some fruit.

Uhm, really? 1 exclusive CD which plenty of subscribers didn't receive, 1 live box set that was also available in stores, and the downloads were a desperate last-minute attempt at silencing the BBB people.

Ridiculous. At least in half the months of year 1 they didn't even fulfill the basic requirements, and let's not even talk about the quality of those downloads shall we?

Oh, and how much are those downloads worth if you take them to a second hand records store?

NPGMC could EASILY be a decent operation, if the people running it would have a clue.

Just relax will ya!!!

I'm sure there is a Prince.Org statistic somewhere that shows a whopping 89% of negative posters in the org have also had at least one case of road rage within the last 7 days...

Just cough up your $25 and shut up smile

I think the 2003 site shows alot of potential. I absolutely hated 2002, especially considering they rehashed the first years layout and didnt do shit till the last minute when they hastily mailed out our remaining 3 non exclusive CDs.

The metaphorical layout is very 1996, and a major no no in terms of web usability. But the graphics and environment show alot of time and effort. That makes me think they are taking the club a little more seriously this year.

For 25 bucks, its almost like you just purchased "Interactive! Part II". There are some rooms that appear to be opening soon. A site like this would be better unfolding over time, than dumping all the content on us at once, and we become bored with it in a month.

25 bucks is at least comparable to many other official fan sites out there.
