Hi NPGM members, don t u remember what the club asked us last summer if we want an accoustic tour or european tour???
So, maybe he s preparing something great,as accoustic concerts, an will reserve 2004 for a splendid celebration for the 20th anniversary of purple rain ???
what do u think??

he kind of dissed purple rain on his ona tour, it would be suprising if he turned around and celebrated its 20th anniversary shortly after

He played it in Toronto too...but your idea is kind of far fetched. However, good for you, for thinking positive smile

I don't think he was dogging the songs or the whole Purple Rain era, I think he just wanted to see people take interest in some of the other stuff he's done in his career.

I dont think he dissed PR, he ust said "If you came to get your Purple Rain on, you're in the wrong house", meaning this isnt going to be a greatest hits set, sit back and enjoy some material you're not going to be familiar with.

I dont take it to mean that he now hates Purple Rain, just that he's more interested in what he's producing now. This doesnt necessarily preclude him from celebrating the 20th anniversary next year although personally I would say that celebrating the past is not really Ps bag.
