I think that P's little absence here is evidence that he is either doing really well or really badly. This is sleep deprived theorizing, mind you, and I don't know him, and know nothing about his life. Wild and pointless speculation. But I have a paper I should be writing, and I don't feel like it, and the org is boring tonight, so I have nothing better to do that write fam-esque topics. Here we go:

a. His life is really great right now. Closer to God than ever, new fabulous wife who is the true love of his live, makin' babies, makin' gospel, and generally enjoying life. We, the fawning fanatics who only wanna hear PR over and over, are the furthest thing from his mind.

or

b. This man is lost. Lost his child, lost the true love of his life, trapped in a rebound marriage, spiritually floundering, not breaking new ground musically, and dissapointed in the response of fans to the 2002 NPGMC, he is locked in a studio somewhere writing a sequel to the black album. We, the ungrateful whining brats, are the furthest thing from his mind.


I have no opinion about which is more likely.

I had a discussion about "B" the other day and the subject was .. "When did it all start to go wrong?"

And the answer in time was unanimously "Larry G's arrival and Brainwashing"

But I don't think P will ever be "Lost"

Yeah, but the thing is, if hypothesis b is correct, I don't think it STARTED with Larry. I think it started with the tragedy of losing his child, was made worse by the end of his marriage, and those things put him in a state of mind where he was desperate and was susceptable to "brainwashing" (ie. he was lost and spiritually searching and Larry put out a lifeline and he grabbed on for dear life).
