There's a big ole "3rdEyeGirl.com" at the top of the tour poster. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

people need to learn to click on the P P F sites forum & the Concert forums more
the more we direct people here the more members will enter

what is the purpose of the P/P/F sites forum though? his websites are about music or concerts. why the distinction? why does it not fall under "Prince: Music & More"?

Which is a whole other issue (yes, Prince should have a proper site for news, tour dates, etc.), but between the poster and Funkenberry AGAIN saying that new stuff is coming soon, the suggestion that 3rdEyeGirl.com is dead is pretty clearly incorrect. Dr. Funkenberry said the same thing 2 weeks ago, and nothing came of it.
As for the website appearing on that poster.... ads were taken out for 20pr1nc3.com were taken out in either mags or newspapers about 3 days before he abandoned that one. 2 months ago.

The timeline for the updates obviously hasn't been accurate, but its not like Dr. F is pulling this stuff out of thin air. He's passing along info that is provided to him for a reason. The girls themselves talked about stuff coming soon last night. Who knows what the hold up is, but I'm sure there will be new material on the site soon.

When we were told 2013 would be big it wasn't a guarantee of a new song or video every week from the site.
So far Prince had appeared on the Grammy's & performed on Fallon. He did the shows at The Dakota and announced more West Coast dates. He's booked for Montreux and playing the Billboard Awards in May. There have been over a dozen releases and leaks of new music and videos. He also closed out SXSW.
Add in the Carnegie Hall tribute and the Bobby Z event the same week(he wasn't directly involved in those) and it's a great time to be a fan.
Toure's book just got released as well.
If two weeks without a new track is too much to bear then pop a pill and relax. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Sorry, this thread is about whether or not the 3rdeyegirl.com website is still a currently active endeavor. It's not about any of those other things. Please re-read the first post.

And we did not pay $77 for a lifetime membership nor did we get a promise for a T-shirt. But still the lack of coherence is growing. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

This thread is about whether or not 3rdeyegirl.com will continue to be an outlet to purchase his music or if it will even be updated again.

i just went to the site before i checked here and saw the newish lay out.
i have to admit that my heart made a tiny little jump because this makes me think perhaps we'll also get a bit of new music this weekend.

I just checked 3rdeyegirl.com on my iPhone, just to see if anything had been posted overnight. Still nothing, but I noticed the same typo that's on the Prince2013 site in the notice for tablet and phone users: "direclty".

PATIENCE EVERYONE!!!It's coming, I'm sure...Prince is going to give us more when he thinks we're ready for it.I suspect some of us that will be attending the upcoming shows will get a little taste of something special to "whet our appetites".....

we've been ready for it since he left warneres. he knows this. he always has.
he doesn't need anyone telling him that we want more music, since it's been obvious to him and he actually knows and understands that.
he just doesn't deliver.
which is just fine if he'd just communicate a bit better and simply say "well, here's 6 new tracks, that's all for now folks, check back later this year for a few more tracks"
instead he created all this hoopla, releases those 6 tracks and then keeps on hinting at more "shortly" or even "within 1-2 weeks"
if he'd kept on drip feeding us a new song or remix or video every week he would have kept the momentum going and the good spirits.
now people are already becoming bored and somewhat irritated again with the whole thing.
he's a grown man and one of the most prolific artists of his generation, yet somehow he always manages to suck all the fun out of his releases through constant hick ups or holding out on promised goods.

I know I sound like a broken record here, but relax. It hasn't been that long since the last upload and new stuff will show up eventually. People keep talking about momentum, but we all know that the second he starts dropping new tracks again, folks will be just as excited as they were before. It's not like anyone aside from the hardcore are paying attention anyway, so how much "hoopla" are we really talking about here? I understand being eager for more, and I'd love some new tracks now myself, but there's nothing to be irritated about here. I've asked this question before, but I'll put it you: would you rather nothing had happened so far this year? Look at it this way: We've been given a nice little appetizer, and with the upcoming dates and the promises from Funkenberry and the band we know there's more to come. What if we don't see anything more until AFTER the tour? Will that impact you enjoyment of that music? Will the wait for it be what matters in the end?

I know I sound like a broken record here, but relax. It hasn't been that long since the last upload and new stuff will show up eventually. It wouldn't be so bad if 4 weeks ago Funkenberry hadn't suggested there was a 'truck load' of funk coming to 3rd eye in 1-2 weeks. RIP

well you're right, fcuz. but still, for me personally, the way things are happening is taking a big chunk out of my enjoyment of the new music.
thus far, i've downloaded all tracks and listened to them a few times but i'm holding off on listening to them all the time since i figured i'd just pocket all the tracks and start to really listen to them once i've got a whole bunch and can actually sit down with some new prince stuff without the added distraction/confusion/irritation of the website being what it is
i'm thrilled with what we've gotten so far, don't get me wrong. it was a very good start to the new year.
but at the start of the year stuff just appeared and it was great. then, as always, things slowed down, yet the promises kept flying around "truckload.1 to 2 weeks" etc.
and that's what bugs me. promises that aren't followed through is the red line that has been running through prince's output for too long now. the dangling carrot.
i'll cease all bitching the minute new music is put up on that site, naturally because that is our red line, running through our prince fandom. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
